Quake III: 'Hunter' (aka: Scantily clad women!)

I was sure this would get your attention . This is the first skin I did for Ganon's FPS Mod, the q3 Hunter. I don't know if this is the real name of the character since I got my base pictures from some spanish site and I lost my q3 CD. All original work though, don't get me wrong. This was really an adventure for me, since I haven't done many 'skin' skins before, and I usually suck at skinning women. However, I think this one turned out nicely, I like the 'skull/mask' thingy especially. Skinned everything from scratch, except the hair, a part of the *ss, and the a part of the face. It's basically finished, but I'm always open for suggestions. Crits and comments please!

The model is not the original watcher model, but an edited one by Cookie, so many kudos to him.

In-Game View (not fps cam, ofcourse).


(EDIT: Heh, maybe I said this in a way that could be interpretet wrong LOL :////. I don't actually suck when i'm skinning women, if you know what I mean. Wait a min., this edit is useless. Oh well).

Base picture (as I said, my skin is not c 'n p, and as you can see, I took some artistic freedoms and removed/added some stuff)

well you dont have to make it 100% according to picture, I suggest maintain the shoulder pads armor, because if its fleshed it looks a bit odd

PS: its possible to remove the boots part totally so its more fluent going on to the leg

pads be turned to shoulders? dont know as it would likely mess the anim =)

just wondering: where did you get the model?

I have also changed a lot on it you see, but I've got a really irritating problem with one of the vertexes since it never stays ''inside'' her...

Hmm, well, I think you tried to add too much stuff like that necklace (?). It makes the body, especially the upper torso quite blurry so you might want to remove it. Imo it'd also look better without the long ears. Also, the team color looks bit shabby, but I quess that's mostly because of the wrapping.

The recolored butt aka from waist to the knees part of the skin seems to have bit more brownish skin color than the upper body, but I quess this is bit of nit picking (fix the butt =P)

But, otherwise pretty good job on it :D

Some good suggestions there skyquake. I blurred the upper body out a bit on purpose, I still got the original greyscale PSD so I might just reverse it. I can't do too much about the blurring though, the chest is just like totally warped. About the butt, yes, it's a bit different colour, i'll change that too. And about the ears, you've got a good point there too. I was thinking to maybe change the ears into two feathers, since the actual model has got this too (I didn't do this right away 'cause I got lay-zee).

I know that's the sentry model, but it's been modified (no weapon, no band between her legs and no armor hanging down from her waist down(originally it covers her ***)

That's what I wanted to know...
You can't do all that with alpha'ing can you?!

Please, don't use the model in one of your maps yet. I like to keep it exclusive to the FPS Mod.

just need to know how he got rid of a vertex that messed up my model... (think I posted a thread about it somewhere not to long ago...)
