I'm trying to create a system where a hero can receive a hero ability into their pool of learn able abilities. I've seen this done in games such s "Custom hero Arena", but I have not been able to find out how to do it myself. I've exhausted every method and trigger combination i can find, so anyone mind pointing me in the right direction? |

I believe you will have to use a spellbook to do that. There's a few threads about how to add spells to spellbooks. |

Well, I normally use another method without the spellbook: You can disable the hero ability at the beginning of the game (Player-Disable Ability X for Player X) and then re-enabling it when the hero "aquires" the new ability (Player-Enable Ability X for Player X). I used it many times and it works perfectly just like a default spell. I hope it helps. |

Well, if I remeber well a hero can have 6 abilities, isn't it? They are quite enough... |

I think he's talking about if he has a pool of, say, 30 different abilities (and since each hero can only have a max of ~6, you can't disble them all), which can be added to the hero depending on the player's choice. You can't just add the abilties to the hero because then when the player opens the "hero abilities" button, the abilities don't show up. That's his problem, and quite frankly I don't know how to solve it. |
