BlackDoom MergePack v1.0 - Medalions, Shields and Splinter Shields. Credit is due if you use them. Only credit me for the work put in the merge process, not for the "ingredients" used... Don't forget to add a link to this post, so anyone else could see the "ingredients" of the merge process. It's fair towards Blizzard that we (you and me) do so. BlackDoom_MergePack.rar (527.2 KB) contains everything the other RAR archives contain. If you download it, you can discard the other RAR archives. The icons included in the "Splinter Shield" suite are meant to be used as passive abilities, perhaps in a custom map or campaign. For instance, a Hero of the Human race could be specialized in delivering utter damage to the Orc enemies or, another example, an Undead Hero could be specialized in banishing the NightElves from the land his master wishes to control. The BTN image is meant to be used as potential Upgrade-research button (at the Altar of that race). Using the PASBTN image and W3IR, you can create the Upgrade image, if you wish your Hero to be able to advance in that ability several levels. I chose not to include the rest of the image formats as they have no specific ID-suffix reglemented, neither by THW nor by WC3C. No H vs H or NE vs NE etc. icon was included as I thought it not to be useful... It seems pointless to me to have a Hero specialized in wiping out his own men. If someone needs such resource (perhaps a traitor Hero?), please contact me and I will update my package. The original images used in the production process are shown at a larger scale in the post at WC3Campaigns.net. Bordering was performed by W3IR v1.3.1. Merge-author: BlackDoom. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy them! BlackDoom P.S.: You may as well use the Splinter Shields as normal ability, one that would grant the Hero/unit a significant damage bonus against one enemy unit plus a ravaging armor decrease (since the enemy theoretically loses his/her shield). I don't know... I know... "75% original work". You can leave the package non-approved, if you want. I just uploaded them because I think they look good (great actually).Used images (not in the order below; analyze the screen shot to see which went where):

Holy cow, nice one. Those shields look especially useful. |

So these are just icons? or is this like a tool? The Icons are very sexy though! =] |

These are all icons. The borders of each icon and all the formats (BTN, DISBTN, PASBTN, DISPASBTN) were created by W3IR. |

Awsome work |

They look awesome full-size, but with the different attack types (Human vs Orc, etc) used as upgrades the only thing you really see is the weapon, a yellow splash, and something behind it. The marked shields were exceptionally well made. Rep'd! |

As I mentioned, those abilities should only be present ONE on any given Hero/unit at a time. This way, you cannot confuse them. Thanks! Both for the good thought and for the rep! |

I honestly like this stuff. I only need time and subjects to work on. Ah - yes - and MY PC, not this that I have at the dormitory... Will get back with more. Right now - W3IR's documentation is a tough nut to crack. |

Somehow, I do not know how I succeeded in doing so, yet... The first archives uploaded here contained, in the MarkedShields package, an older, previous version of the Human and Orcish shield. These were included then: Human BlazeMark Shield Orc TaurenMark Shield.I sincerely apologize and I pray that you may forgive my mistake. I have only now discovered this, and, as soon as I re-created the correct Icons and as WC3C got back from the php Update, I posted the correct packages and this post. Sorry, again! ![]() |

Really nice Doom, good work. Maybe these icons will keep ppl from using the same wow stuff again and again in their maps... |

To be honest, I was afraid I would have been assaulted by theft accusations and such. I'm glad you people liked them! I'll try to do some more these days... next week/in a couple of weeks I'll have one more ready. |

I wondered what he meant - to say the least - but I associated it with the fact that I found my pack somewhere else than the "submit" section. Thanks for the positive reactions! |
