From the looks of things, he wanted to make a program to generate a map given the map size. I think he then thought the task was too complicated, and so he decided to give up on it, but left the interface for it (the window where you choose all the options and then click "Create Map" or something like that) for others to use. |

He is correct. implementing the MPQ functions was too much for me to want to finish this. The reasons for making this were a. allow you to make large maps w/o WEU running. b. test building maps greater than 512x512 (no matter the size) and pitzer, if you downloaded the zip, it contains the executable in it's current state (just the interface). If someone (like pitzermike) were to implement the MPQ functions then i might consider finishing it with things such as selecting terrain type and maybe other stuff. in it's self, the interface is nothing worth bragging about but it would get the job done. It was one of the first things i attempted in VB (using visual studio .net professional 2002) |

No offense or anything, but what makes you think someone knowledgeable enough to finish this wouldn't just make the whole thing from scratch? |
