This thread is basically for discussing what weapons or items you believe to be imbalanced. This thread is NOT for posts like

I'm hoping the forum leaders wont allow this kind of unproductive discussion. If you do have a balance complaint, the best reasons would probably be either if a gun is better than another gun when it is in its best element, ("the sniper does more dps at close range then the smg") another would be if the guns existence forces other players to use that gun in order to win ("the only way to bat a player that is using the sniper is to use one yourself). Please note that these are only examples, and that I don't see a problem with the sniper. You could also post your opinion on why a gun fails at performing its strategic role simply because it isn't strong enough as long as its a quality thought. Your balance concern will hold more water if you can either post a replay showing blatant abuse, or show us how the weapon is abused. Here are my thoughts.

I would like to see the minigun improved a little because nobody either runs into the fire, or stays still while being hit. The minigun is useful for defending a ramp, but c4 does this job much better without having to devote your weapon to the situation. The only effective use for the minigun I've seen is when a player follows a stun grenade with it, and in that case, just throw in a regular grenade and following it with an smg (if the grenade doesnt kill it in the first place) would kill faster. My main argument for buffing the minigun is that the smg beats it out by almost every category, and don't bring up its greater range, because at that range the minigun isn't going to actually hit anything, and the dps advantage is negligible when you realize most of the fire wont hit. This is just my opinion that Would easily be swayed by some reasoning or hints on how to use the weapon. Right now the game is in its early stages of competitive development, but any blatant abuses could be noted. Please treat this topic well.

It depends simply on how well you play on each weapon. Minigun can be used at very melee range dealing instant kill to who does a wrong jump. Sub Marine Gun can be also used at melee, but never does instant kill (80-96 dmg?). Shrapnel Gun can have a good usage, especially in 6v6 games. It has a good splash damage when the bullet explodes (IF it explodes only), it can also do a ~70 dmg (in 1.2 it is ~70 (68 or 69) for my best hit and 80 dmg in 1.1). Laser was pretty good in PvP (1v1 or 2v2), because it has a quite good Area of Effect while firing. In 1.2, it is able to hit twice the target. Acid Gun is also good against melee weapons, dealing a sure 50 dmg to the target, with 2.5 cooldown (means deals only 30-35 damage every 2.5 in total).

Also, the Minigun has a small trick : It can use the Med Kit while firing, can save sometimes (not against snipers).

I think the Mini-Gun is fine, it is a little useless in my opinion, but as Chocobo said its how you use it, I die to it sometimes from a bad jump, or just being a dumbass =þ
And as he also said, it is good at close combat at times, I find moments where I say "I should've had the Mini-Gun" because so many people are there at the same time, so I think its perfectly balanced.

Mini gun has extremely low range....if you holding a sniper, you suck if you let him that close, snarpel, he's right in front of you, splash him, jump trick, splash he dies. Rifle....made for medium range, just don't let him get close. Acid gun....slows him down so badly he's dead be4 in range. Laser...wtf man, don't use laser in TT.
My 2 cents, that guy sucks or stupid or just didnt know that smg owns in short range in the first place going head on with a smg. Be a sniper, own that smg noob. SMGs own all if a pro use it tho....never gonna happen at TT if against pro sniper.

Mini-Guns range should be increased for its balancing (changed my mind).

No...in TT the laser gets messed up, i'm serious, you cant really have much choices of shooting. It's very limited. AND YOU RESPONDING IN ALL THE THREADS XD

Then I'm 100% sure you shoot at a land where you shouldn't fire to have the exact height you want?

Lazer is bugged in many ways, mainly looks and its bouncing, going up and down, shooting at a wall next to you <Exact location> then it goes THROUGH the wall. . .
Then again, I have no idea what you just said. ..

I know how to use it, and I don't click on the wall, I did that when I was first experimenting with ze laza.
