Flipping Models

I was wondering if one needs to use a modeling program to be able to simply flip a model upside down and rotate it in every which direction. For the life of me, I can't seem to find such a simple function anywhere in the World Editor. I merely need a version of the selection arrow (Shop Sharing <caster>) that points up, rather than down.

Actually what I really need is a ladder, but I saw Ray got shot down with his request for one so I figured it wasn't a good idea to ask for someone to make me a model.

Anyway, any help I can get would be much appreciated.

I know that there is a ladder model out there somewhere...

I used one for a training project I did a few years back.

Well, in any case, you could always fashion a ladder out of wood plank doodads if you're map isn't too doodad intensive already.

Ohh, and on the flipping models, no it can not be done if it is intended to be a unit or building, but if it is a doodad, then yes it can be done via the xyz and roll options when double clicking a doodad in the world editor.

I can rotate doodads around their Z axis and I can scale their X, Y, and Z planes, but I can't actually rotate them around their X or Y axis. Do you have a special World Editor addon or something, cause I'm just using the standard version.

I cmight be completely wrong with that statement, but I unfortunately don't have access to my editing computer at the moment, but I do know that my World Editor runs with a number of different optimizers and hacks. I run World Editor Unlimited, World Editor Helper, WEU and Jasshelp plugins, and a few other things I think that add some functions. So that could also be it, i get back to you on that once I have access to it.

Also, for a large database of doodad models and such, download the Ultimate Terraining Map, there's a ton of stuff in that, and it wouldn't suprise me if you found a ladder round there.

What you could also do is take the wooden plank doodad that was made (in the Ultimate Terraining Map) and create a ladder out of that. If you want to go with that route, i could help you out, it just some doodad stretching and stacking like I did here with the metal box model:

Use negative numbers by shift clicking and it should allow you to rotate it.

Now I'm getting somewhere. I changed a doodad's roll angle and pitched angle to -80, and the WE randomly turned it on its side. But I can't find out how to manually roll and pitch it. It still only has 'rotation' in the properties. Is there some hotkey I need to use or something?

you have to have that unlocked under advanced something or other. i believe its "allow negative values" or something. then when you hold shift and click on it you can put in any value. for example when scaling a doodad normally its between .01 and 10. if you hold shift you could put in any thing, -37.34 (not sure what you'd get) or 78.27. in terms of ladders yes there are models out there, i have a at least two. i don't remember what they're in but its a pack and its probably on hive but i don't feel like browsing for it.
