How do players build buildings? Is it like normal-game where they have a builder? No, players build their buildings by collecting components from around the map in certain combinations, which transmute themselves into the appropriate buildings. 2. Do both the alliance and the ancients' buildings use the same components? For the most part, yes...which means players will be competing against the opposing team for building components. Although ancients have "Ancient Protector" and "Ancient of War" instead of "Guard Tower" and "Barracks." 3. What kind of heroes will there be? Just the default types from normal WC3? Actually no, all the heroes will be constructed from scratch. They will (for the most part) use pre-existing models from the game (like Knight, Archer, etc.) to cut down on map size, but they will have completely unique (with a couple of exceptions) abilities that apply to the type of gameplay for the particular hero. 4. What is the item system going to be like? Is it just like "DOTA?" In a sense, it will be similar to dota, because there will be basic vendors who supply generic items. From there, however, it completely changes into its own style. Players will be able to construct a building "Armory" which is then used to combine items (Slippers of Agility + Slippers of Agility = Boots of elvenskin, or whatever). These more advanced items may then be combined to form even more powerful items. This system, though, is complex and still under revision / construction...so don't get too focused on it. 5. If players have to collect items in order to construct buildings, will they miss out on creeping / leveling time? Yes and No. The quickest way to gather items will be to kill neutral creeps, which will grant them some experience and gold (although significantly less than lane creeping). In an effort to counteract this, there is a delay before creeps begin spawning, and even then, only 1 creep will spawn per lane (This obviously increases based on the number of Barracks / Ancients of war, etc.) Systems [-]Shadow1500's Recipe System |

I'm not worried about that, really. I'm more worried about the whisp hero. |

You guys are really so negative, sheesh. Don't judge it until we've got something more than just ideas to wrap out hands around. Like, you know, a map. |

I'll have an optimized version of the map available by 4:00 CST today. Be aware, though, that the map is in a pre-alpha stage and lacks triggers, numerous abilities, some terrain perfection, etc. |

I reaaally hope you are not using the wisp model as a hero, it will look bad. I suggest to use the keeper of the grove ghost version instead. |

no...lol, I'm not using the wisp model :) I think I'll stick with units that have attack animations, personally. |

Wishing luck with a condescending attitude sure is negative. It's part what you say and part how you say it. |

Any other idea criticisms or general advice of any sort? I'm also looking for a couple of concept artists to assist me with this, and I assure you its not big on time demand. BTW the posted version is quite outdated now, I'll get a more updated version soon. |
