WT 54 - Mountains

02-25-2007, 11:28 PM#1
[Death]
The gunslinger Roland glanced down from the high mountains to the world beyond. The ground glittered with sparkling snow in the high altitude, but lower, the snow faded away to rocks jutting out from the mountains. Small sparse plants - it was unbelieveable they could grow in conditions like this - forced their way from under the rocks the lower he went, until the mountains met the ground. There plants and grass sprouted out in a flat horizon of plains. Roland walked forwards - his path was forever-forwards to the last - down through the mountains, down to the endless plains.

I'm new to the terraining game, and I figures doing this and asking for crit. might be a good way to improve.
Anyway, I only did a bit and then got kinda bored, but his is what I did.

I was trying to play with fog to add to the shots, but I couldn't seem to get it to look very good, so I turned if off for the shots.
Have you, or anyone else really, got any advice on fog? Both for this scence and in general.

know what fog color yur fog should have to fit in. If it's nighttime, use blue fog and use it correctly with the X and Y so that it dont seem like there's a fog but it creates a nice atmosphere. Fogs should never block vision unless it belongs there to block it. Then again i dont even noe what im saying -_-;

Gui: From what I can see it looks pretty good to me. Though the angle doesn't make it look terribly mountainy... Any chance of more shots to get a better idea?

Hmm, that doesn't look like a forest. For a WIP it's fine though.
