I made a gargoyle type hero and when the gargoyle stands or is in between attacks he keeps playing his stone-form "stand alternate" animation. any clue how to get it to stop this? i looked over all of the object editor to get it to match a basic gargoyle unit and still no luck. |

... ever checked the mdoel's animation strings by any chance? Then trigger it to use the right one? -Av3n |

Uh, i think i see what is going on here. i have the unit turning into a garg upon using a morph ability.. like crow form.. and it's calling on it's alternate animation.. is there a way to block alternate use? btw, yes i did check the animation strings. i tried the trigger remove tag "alternate" from ordered unit but it's still playing his animation |

The Gargoyle model doesn't have an alternate attack animation, since the melee garg doesn't ever attack in stone form. You'll have to prevent it from attacking in ground form or it's a no go. If you dont want to play the animation, do not have alternate flicked. |

... Rising is right it doesn't have an stone form attack animation, try give rename the animation strings but if you said before it didn't work this might take a while to fix -Av3n |

well, the morph is not to use stone form. it is to have him attack normally.. i want him to move and attack normally and regularlly before and after using a morph.. anyhow. i experimented for a long time and i found a little trick that seems solid. i switched from using crow form to bearform to base morph spell off of because crow seemed to be unyeilding to anything i'd do.. then i gave the garg unit in the object editor the permanant passive pheonix egg morph.. the icon-less one.. and i turned all the casting times.. delay landing times.. ect all down to .01 on that egg ability. oh and i have the alt unit the same as the normal unit in this egg ability. now what happens is.. every time i morph into a garg the bear form switches it to use it's alternate animation then instantly.. before you even see that animation the egg ability becomes active and instantly reverts to the standard animation calls. lol. and it's seemless. thx though guys |

That method sounds funky and weird, but hell, if it works than nice find. It might come in handy for someone sometime. |
