Hi, i am new in the forums... i have a little experience in warcraft 3 editor, but ... not in JASS. I don´t know if this is the right place to psot but i will post here....sorry if it is wrong. I wanna ask somethings. 1- Is there a way to copy "trigger folders", like a create a folder called lunnar spell with some triggers inside to make it work. Is there a way i can copy the folder in the world editor to paste it in another map ?? Cus i wanna take some spell from example maps ( not to rip them, i will credit the person ) 2- If i use a skin in a model in my map is theere a way I can have the custom skinned guy and the normal one in the SAME map ?? Cus i wanna create a bloodelf with powers that change his form, like from bloodelf to a skinned one.... and then return to the normal. 3- I wanna request a model... cus i am creating a custom caipaign and the storyline will be the sequel to warcraft 3 the frozen thorne, so the player will play with arthas with the lich kings armor, so i need a model for that..... can some1 create it ?? Well to answer question 1, you can copy the folder.. all you do is click on the folder and press Ctrl+C (Copy) and then go to your map and press Ctrl+V (Paste) To answer Question two, yes you can, but you have to get the model and edit his texture path, and make it the path of your skin, then import them both in warcraft, im pretty sure there are some tutorials on that in the tutorials section... And for the request of the model, you should post it in the forge Click here to visit the forge. just go there and put up a request, maybe someone will make it for you, maybe not.. =] Good luck! |

I can´t fise those tutorials...... do i need a program for that ?? plz teach me or post the link to the tutorial... other thing: if i download a new grass texture will it be added as a new one or it will delete an old one to work ? and is there a way i can have a frozen trhone tower like the one that we see just when we enter in warcraft 3 tft ??? where is the model ?? |

O i´ve got another problem.....and you didnt ansewered me how to put that frozen trhone chamber/tower in the map =/ I have a player 2 ( blue ) that is the player vs. player3 ( teal ) comp, but when i start the map teal is blue and blue is red.... all is nomrla in world editor tought. and i can´t get atachments to work. i´ve read the tutorial but it isnt working. and is there a way to create a temporary effect on the caster of an ability while the spell is beying casted ??? E.G: Blood mage is casting flmae strike, in this time i want a pillar of fire to come down from the earth under him, is there a way to do this ? |

About the frozen throne tower, i dont think you can get it in your map... But TDR made a great ice tower check it out.. Here Is the Ice Tower! For the Attachments, whats not working? Like did you import them right? Can you see them if you want to change the units model to the attachment model? If you cant see them in World Editor then you imported them wrong into your map... If you can see the attachment models in world editor, maybe you didnt put in the proper attachment points... Heres a tutorial on attachments in items! And for the Player colors, im not to sure.. i cant go on world editor right now... i got to go to school =/ Sorry but maybe if you still have that problem when i get home, ill help you out! =] Good Luck! |

that´s not what i want, i ont want a tower, i want THE tower, cus my campaingn will follow warcraft 3 storie... and the attachments i attach an already existing model, i dindt import it, a war3 one, to the item bonus armor ability, then i set it to non-item, and gave it to an unit, but it is not working. and thnaks very much, as i can see you´re giving me attention :D:D:D:D +rep i have more question. what is the vexorian caster system for ??? how can i import it to my map ?? i donwloaded a spell and it says it needs it, but i see no caster system and the dmo map for the spell....... why ?? and when importing JESP spells do i need to import the variables too !?!?!?!??!!? i know i ask alot, but please try to awnser all the questions, not only 1 =/ |

I would suggest you not to bother using the caster system if you dont know jass. and yes, you have to copy variables for spells if there are some. about THE tower, you should try request it in some diffrent forum. |

i dont know much about jass, but i can read and "understand" it, but i cant write it, and the JESP is an easy way to implement and edit. Why doesn´t the sample JESP map spell have the caster system and it says it needs it to use it in my map ?!!??! Edit: the atttachment thing: i´ve posted exaclty this in the tutorial, read it there cus it makes more sense: "how can you know what units have attachments points and how can i remove a attached thing like the blademaster´s weapon to attach a new one ?? cus i´m trying to attach a effect to units and i cant !! i can´t attach it even to archimonde...... and i´ve edited bloodmage´s spheres do have 6 spheres but there are only 3 spheres..." and is there a way to create a temporary effect on the caster of an ability while the spell is beying casted ??? Hey, but will the effect be deleted when the ability has ended ?? what if the guy cancels the ability ?? do i need any custom script for this, cus theres a custom script there and how can i do this, i´ve tried but i cant find it : Set SFX_Point equal to (Position of (Triggering Unit)) Isn´t there a way to do this without trigger, just in the spell in the object editor ? dOES THIs need variables ?? I got it using a different way. I´ve created 4 triggers, each one creating a fast efft on my guy. But now i want a trigger to create more effect on the area of the flame strike, but i cant find the event responde- targeting area.... |
