Yeah, sorry I haven't been posting for a while. I got started on these two maps, so yeah. Anyways, I ran into this problem. My heroes are supposed to have 6 learnable abilities and some have one innate ability. There are 3 basic level one abilities, one ultimate, and two UBER ultimates and you have to choose to choose which one to have. All abilities can be upgraded except for the innate. So I was trying to stuff in the sixth ability but unfortunately it won't work. Can you help me? So far I've tried: Adding then removing the ability, nothing. Adding the ability. Unable to learn the added ability. I don't think enabling the ability would help, it just doesn't seem right. |

Can't have 6 hero abilities. |

Well is there any way I can bypass that? A back door? Anything, seriously. |

Other than emulating it, such as with a spellbook and triggers, no. You cannot have 6 hero abilities. No possible way. |

Wow, gayness. Could anybody have any suggestions on how I could EMULATE it then? As in choose one of your last moves? |

Have two copies of each hero, one with Super-Ultimate A, and one with Super-Ultimate B. When the hero is picked, make sure it's Version A, then disable Ultimate A. When the hero reaches level X, enable Supter-Ultimate A, move the player's selection and camera to an "Ultimate-choosing rune" or something which has both abilities that the player can then read about. When a player learns either one of these abilities, remove the "rune", move the player's selection back, and if it was Super-Ultimate B, replace the player's hero with an equivalent Hero B. Then copy experience, items, stat bonuses, and abilities over to the new one. Should work, if you need assistance just ask. |

That stills stupid, because you can't have more than 5 abilities in Hero Learnable Skills. But you can believe on Spellbook + Engineering Upgrade. |

If you ask me, emulating it is a silly idea. Don't try to break WC3's limits, just accept them and run with it. It'll make your map less complicated. |

Um. Ok. Well, I decided that I would just make a spellbook with both ultimates and the first ultimate you cast is the one you will be given. Even if that sounds gay, I think it would be easier. Tell me if you have any other ideas though. |

You can use a spellbook and triggers to make a spellbook 'learning' menu and then use triggers to add in abilities and level them. |

Cant you just add the innate through triggers? |
