Hello, I am Jason and as you can see - new to these forums. I am a skilled GUI person with a liking to making triggered spells, the main reason I want to start up this project is because a have made a handful of heroes with fully triggered spells and want to put them to use, but anyway onto the project details. Project Name : When Worlds Collide (WWC) Project Type: AoS Story: The 2 islands of Hex (A dark island - a more corrupted and dull island) and Mara (An island of strong justice and nature loving people) have always hated each other for their differences. The earth's crustal plates have been mysteriously shifting towards each other for 11 years getting closer and closer. For those eleven years the two islands had been preparing for war as they knew their islands would soon be colliding into 1 - Hexara. The Islands heroes will emerge in battle and determine whose people truly deserves the new country when the two "worlds" collide. Project Team: kingofJasons, thehellman Wanted (From Most wanted to Least): - A terrainer - Items Specialist - Someone to make more heroes and general stuff needed for the map to increase development speed and make lots of heroes - Anyone is welcome to join as long as they are experianced with the editor and know what they are doing, noobs looking to learn something - im sorry but this isn't for you What will this be like? - The map will be small and very versatile for more fast paced gameplay, there will be portals to easily switch from lane to lane in order to help out, I have always hated maps where I have to walk so far to get my items, heal, then get back to my spot, this will be all-action - Terrain is going to be whatever my terrainer can offer. Although what I'm looking for is a sort of murky and dark side then a more vibrant and bright side to the map split by water in the middle (Merging of the crustal plates shores) - Heroes I currently have 8 ready to offer into the map with all-triggered spells (the fun kinds of spells). Heroes levels go up to 18 (for now) 5 level increment for spells and 3 level increment for ultimate - Don't ask about items yet Im still uncertain as to what I have planned for them - Your normal AoS game can easily go up to 2 hours, I want to make this map quiker with more action so people don't get tired of using their hero, this helps with the smaller map and the portals we are making. So far the terrain is done(Although we will make modificatations to it throughout) We have made 9 heroes already. Working on the Leader Systems. So far it is coming along good, no complaints. Haha you have to be kidding me, how unexpected and unlucky is that?! Oh man now I kinda feel guilty, but I don't know what else to call it... Island Defense? - No. Already taken. Um now I got a bit of a predicament here You know with that sig I think you would be a perfect terrainer for this |

Nah I don't know about Clash of War doesn't seem proper for some reason. Nothing like having CoW as your short term name. I was thinking of maybe Battle For Hexara but that just seems unoriginal atm (Hex + Mara) By the way I have added a Heroes demo map for people to see my skill level at making heroes. |

It will never give anyone the opportunity to do a good push or suprise attack, becouse the oppsing team can just jump right to the location where you are and wtfpwn you. One of the biggest recources in an AoS that makes tactics possible is time. Time it takes to travel, time it takes to go heal up, and time it takes for your hero to revive. By adding these portals you are so proud of, you will allmost completely remove this aspect. yes your game will be faster paced, i suppose, but on the other hand, nothing will ever happen. ============== Call it something like "Worlds Collide" or whatever. |

So far I'm liking "With Honor We Stand" (Freakazoid's) or "When Worlds Collide" (Erwtenpeller) I know exactly what your saying erwt, and I just knew that comment was coming. I thought it out... You are right. Portals = Better for the Defensive Side = Increased Playing Time However I still am going to make the map that way for several reasons - Towers being attacked more often which means more teamwork in defense, there will be a lot of pinging and "hey there attacking down here! help out!" as well as more teamwork for the offensive because they will need multiple units due to increaded defensive manoeuvreability - Your actions become more important (Trying to breach their side instead of helping on the defensive could mean a loss, everything happens fast) - Keeping your creep wave alive means a lot more than it used to (probably only a wave or 2 before the offensive can reach tower) - Somewhat of a new thing I really want to see how it's well it turns out |
