Can anyone please point me in the direction of a good tutorial on how to draw fire in photoshop? i'd definitely prefer one that doesn't use either smudge or filters. |

how about you just look at fire and draw what you see? I don't know any better method than that. As for not using smudge check out my tutorial about how to blend colors in a digital canvas environment. |

Draw black first, then to red, then orange, then finish off using yellow and white. Use a pen tablet if you have one instead of a mouse. Drawing the curves with a mouse can be a bit trickier than using a pen. |
