Just take a screenshot of the map area, and import it to "war3mapPreview.tga" (or "war3mappreview.tga"; I'm not sure which). There are threads on this, just search around. |

Woah, the link i gave above was actually a bit wrong... I know how to change the "war3mapPreview.tga" (the preview people see on the roght in-game), BUT i want to know how you can make 3D map preview like the following pictures: http://www.wc3campaigns.net/attachme...6&d=1153798844 http://www.battle.net/war3/images/ma...tice-3dmap.jpg http://www.battle.net/war3/images/ma...nter-3dmap.jpg PS: abriko: When i try to zoom out that far, the map dissapears from the above to the bottem, when i try to zoom in again, it appears again... I can however select "View entire map" and THEN zoom out, but then i'm seeing everything from straight above. |

Yes i know.. to make it visible, you have to scroll with your mouse with clicking CTRL. http://www.battle.net/war3/images/ma...tice-3dmap.jpg ... easy : zoom -, screenshot, open it in photoshop and paste screenshot of goldmine, goblin etc with a shadow effect. |

You need an introduction to World edior camera, my friend. (left/right/middle mouse button) LMB: Do stuff RMB: Move the map around by dragging. drag far to scroll. MMB: nothing as far as i can tell RMB+CTRL (hold it down): drag mosue to adjust camera angle Scroll Wheel: Zoom in / out Scroll Wheel+CTRL: adjust draw distance (the WE will only draw stuff within a short distance by default. thus, the map disapears when you zoom out) V: 'game view' (as it will look in-game) CTRL+Shift+C: Reset view C: lock to game camera. Scroll wheel will tilt camera up and down instead of zooming. Theres a bunch more camera controls too, but for me, these are the most used. |
