Cinematic Contest 2: Narrated Cinematic

Welcome to the second wc3campaigns cinematic contest.

This time, the assigment is to create a narration cinematic, this means that any and all text that is displayed with subtitles and/or is read by a voice actor must belong to a single narrator. The cinematic can be narrated in first, second or third person, past, present or future tense, or any combination of these traits, as long as there is only a single narrator and no other dialogue. The cinematic may be anywhere between 2 and 20 minutes long. Cinematics not meeting these simple requirements will be disqualified.

Examples of narrated cinematics:

- The first part of The Curse of Feanor Warcraft III cinematic series.
- The Vision Warcraft III cinematic.
- The race introduction from World of Warcraft.

These are merely a few examples, but the contest entries need not be exactly like any of these. Use your creativity to find new ways to tell a story or present an idea.

Prizes:
1st place: 30 rep and a shiny medal.
(second and third place awards will maybe be given depending on the number of contestants.)

Judging criteria:

narration	- how well was the text written, were there any grammar mistakes?
	- if there was any voice acting, was it delivered well?
story	- was the topic of the narration interesting and/or original?
	- was it coherent, were there any plot holes or unneeded boring details?
visuals	- how beautiful was the environment, did it add to the atmosphere?
	- how good was the positioning/movement of cameras and units?
sound	- did the theme and timing of the music fit the cinematic well?
	- did sound effects add to the atmosphere or interfere with the narration?

Each of the main criteria categories is worth 10 points.

The deadline is May 20th 2007 23:59 GMT, so you have 2 months.

Submissions should be posted in the pastebin with "[cinematic contest submission]" in the thread title.

Pyrogasm	Not that I know anything about cinematics or plan on entering this contest, but are entrants allowed to use Anitarf's Cinematic System?

Av3n	If we don't have to voice act it im in and if i use subtitlles how would it be like? (we can use the cinematical sys u used right made?) EDIT: An other question: If we are allowed to (i highly dout it) can the chars only speak? with narration of whats happenin? -Av3n

The chars cant actively speak, they cannot have lines.

And yes, you may use the cine system ofcourse.
