I have 2 spells that are not giving me gold bounty. one triggered spell created a dummy unit and orders it to shadow strike an enemy.. and i have another spell that also uses a dummy unit and orders it to target an enemy with firebolt this works fine but when the units die from these spells i am not receiving gold bounty and credit for the kill for some odd reason. i create the unit. set an expiration timer for 2 seconds.. give it the ability.. then order it. simple as that so i dont see how the trigger can be doing anything wrong. edit> okay i tried the same thing with a non-hero dummy unit (forgot to mention the dummy unit is a hero type of unit) and i got bounty that time.. so why does one collect and the other does not? |

... I been through this you'll have to make the unit under the player's command -Av3n |

i dont understand what you mean. the unit is owned by the player that casts the spell. that's what i tell it to create it for. yet it wont give credit for dummy heros but will for dummy basic units. |

For shadowstrike to give credit for a kill, the caster of the spell must be alive and under the control of the same player as when it cast the spell. Your expiration timers are killing the dummies before they are killing the units. Give them expiration timers equal to the duration of the spell, and it will be fine. |

well, i make it for the owner of the hero that casts so it must be owned by same player. also, i've tried extending the timers beyond and they still do not give credit while that dummy hero is alive. edit> ahhh. i see what is wrong. you were right. i had some other trigger that i set up long ago cleaning units from memory that died and were dummy units the moment they finished casting a spell.. so were being removed before their expiration timer expired. |
