*declares war to JetFangInferno* anyways, a little pack I made since I have too much free time. The pic is both ingame and preview. The explosion takes place on the ground. So when using them, make them higher (using regular CTRL+PGUP on doodads or unit flying). Give credits or I'll send my army of robots armed with nuclear-powered rifles. UPDATE: Now smaller, so you can use those without screwing up your comp. |

Woot ! goodjob ! But how do you make those ?? are they models or ..... !?!? I wanna make some effects like these ones. |

That's a neat effect, you obviously know what to do with particles. |

Nice effect!!!! But,a nice idea will be made a team-coloured fireworks |
| 03-22-2007, 10:21 PM | #7 |
u would need dummy units for that ...and some Triggers.... And Will would have to make a version using teamcolor ..dont know if that is possible for particles... Is it ? |
| 03-22-2007, 11:21 PM | #8 |
no, teamcolor particles are big glows, and thats all there is. I can,t do the same effect with that. How to use these: Create a new unit. give it a movement type: flying. make a trigger, that changes the height of the effect every few seconds, and add a "play unit's birth animation" action. With decent trigger knowledge and common sense, its really not that hard. |

Team color? Just create a dummy unit with the white firework model then just change it's RGB and you can make a rainbow set. |

you can't shade particles like that. I wouldn't have made different colors if it could be done. Quote:
yes I know, but simply make a unit with the SFX as its model and follow the steps I gave. |

Problem is that it's impossible to tint the colours of particle emitters in WE. And it's also impossible to give teamcolour to particle emitters (I think). Btw, really nice fireworkeffects, Will. They can be very useful, especially for a festival event in a game. |

teamcolor particles exist, but its basically hero glow particles. you can only use them as glow, not sparks, fire or other things like that.
