I have completed the third version of Heroes of War. Yes, I know. None of you have heard anything about this Heroes of what now? But you will. Heroes of War is a new idea people. You cant join this game wondering, "Is this an rpg? Is this an AOS? I like DotA, is this like DotA?" Screw DotA, people. Screw DotA. This game has no genre. This game needs no genre. The only thing this game DOES need, is hosts. I can host, but I am only one man. I need loyal servants to do my will. Please download the map and host it. What can it hurt? If you don't like it, shrug your shoulders and go on with your miserable life. But you WILL like it. And you WILL host it many, many times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map Description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ever wanted to know what it would be like to be a Gryphon rider, flying over the battlefield, throwing your deadly hammers down on the unsuspecting enemy? Or maybe you'd choose to be an orc shaman or a troll witch doctor, helping your fellow tauren warriors fight at their best? Well, now you can! This game is fairly easy to understand, but takes awhile to really know how to mercilessly crush the enemy and find out what hero you are best at. There are two teams -- known as Heroes and Villains -- each of which start of with a player appointed king. Your only objective -- kill the enemy king. Each king plays a normal (ladder) game of WC3 with a few exceptions. The max food cap starts at 50. Food buildings -- such as farms -- do not add to your max food. To gain more food, you must take over more and more gold mines. The more gold mines you take over, the more units you can make. Workers do NOT cost food. Now, for the meat of this game. At the beginning of the game, each player (except kings) starts off with a hero based on the weakest unit of their king's race. (Footman, Grunt, Archer, Ghoul) You should begin with taking a gold mine for your king to take over, which ends up bringing you up a couple levels anyway. Once your king has made more powerful units, you may decide to say "-kill" or "-suicide", wait for your hero to die, and click a unit owned by your king that you find to be more powerful. OR you can choose to keep your hero and try to reach max level. (Level 20) WARNING: when you die, all items drop from your body and your new hero will be level 1. You NEVER keep your level. NOTE: After level 5, the only way to gain experience is to pwn enemy units. In version 2, encampments were added. Encampments are a way to stop the heroes from rushing the enemy king and killing him in the very beginning, before he has the chance to train an army. Encampments are small buildings with 3 random level creeps on guard. 5 total encampments must have benn killed before you can attack the enemy king. In version 3, Bounties were added. If you have the balls and the high level to attack the middle, you can buy a 500 gold bounty at the Bounties R Us building. You will be given 5 minutes to kill a random enemy hero -- which will be revealed to you on the map -- without dying yourself. If you succeed, you will gain 5 levels. (Which is a lot for all you n00bs out there) So have fun exploring the many heros and their abilities and go pwn that enemy king. Please leave constructive comments, telling me what you like/dislike about the game. There will most definitely be a version 4, in which I will add some hilariously awesome items to little shops at each expansion territory. So please give me any ideas I could also include in v. 4. Thank You! |

It's kind of like multiple choice on a test. Choose the BEST answer, even if multiple answers could be correct. Some people here have overreacted, but so have you. No big deal though, a mod should be along to move it soon and everything will be fine. BTW, sounds like it could be a fun map. Although some of the things you did to modify normal melee seem unnecessary to me. |

About modifying normal melee, all I have to say is *sigh*... It started out almsot exactly like normal melee, except all units cost no food. I soon found that people who play custom games, play them for a reason... they completely suck at normal melee. I went through a very long guess and check period and then came version 2. I changed it to make it more "n00b oriented." It is now much easier for a n00b to build up a big army before he is blown away. It doesn't always go smoothly, but I guess you can say that with all games that require some skill. I've added a -mutiny trigger, in which a hero can try to take over as king which - you would think - would easily eliminate all n00bs from ruining the game. Not the case. I'm happy to say, that even with a n00b king, the game is still very fun. Its just a million times more fun when the two teams are close to equal. Please try it out and tell me what you think. If you like it, host it again! and so on and so forth. |

I deleted a lot of posts and warned a lot of people. Have you people noticed that posting in a wrong forum is such a minor offense in comparisson to flames? This is not friging off-topic forum, so please if you are not in the mood of helping or being useful stay away of the forums that are not off-topic. . If someone new makes the horrid mistake of posting in the wrong forum don't flame him, you can just explain his mistake to him. Also stay in topic please. I also warned laser-eye, you could have gotten offended but you also flamed then and it doesn't matter who started. |

Hey I'm telling you this person does not follow the rules. In every site, I saw him flaming other people, because other people commented his map as being "poor". And yes it is and needs more work. I know this is his strategy to get attention by screwing up forums. |

I don't understand your point, but I do know my description isn't the best. If someone would play my game and write a better one I'd appreciate it. |

Chunk is a very respectable person, one whom walking into this I respect a heck of a lot more than anyone else that has posted in this thread. Now, with that said, you people are silly -- I'll try the map when I get home, but don't expect flowers and candy to be raining down; I'm going to be honest and blunt. We'll see anyways. |
