I have made Multi-shot bestowing item based on the Barrage ability. Annoyingly it seems to ignore the settings I try to give it. It seems to do two extra shots compared to what I set it at, with a minimum of 4 shots total. So if I set it to 5, it will produce 7 projectiles on each attack, if I set it to 1 or 2 it will do 4 projectiles. Also the damage per target is completely ignored, it just does whatever damage the hero currently has. Is it having problems as an item ability? |

That's exactly what it's supposed to do, actually. Minimum targets should be 3, though, if you set the field on the ability to 1. |

Hmm, so it is. I don't know where I got the minimum of 4. So the damage field is supposed to do nothing? I read in another thread that someone was having difficulting making it behave the was it does for me and they had to set the damage to 0 in order to get it to use the heroes attack damage. Well hopefully my item won't be imba as is. |

Actually, now that I think about it, there was a thread about getting it to do specific damage. The solution ended up getting something from the MPQ (a SLK file, if memory serves), editing it, and importing it. Alternatively, you could use phoenix fire, but that doesn't fire on attacks. |

The specific damage field means nothing, it's something left over from the original coding of the spell that was removed and now doesn't do anything. Barrage in it's normal form does the relavant attack damage, damage. |

Turns out the thread I was thinking of had to do with tooltips; something about Unitmetadata.slk. Maybe your barrage is just screwey. Apparently it's only supposed to use the hero's respective damage if the damage is set to 0. |

I had the same problem with that too. The barrage should deal 60 damage, but they deal the damage the hero does. |
