Introduction: I guess I should introduce myself! I'm wussupallies, and I play melee and custom games on both USWEST and USEAST. Also, I'm a mapmaker, which is part of a natural desire to design games for others and myself to play. Feel free to contact me at my email [email protected]. I don't know JASS, but I'm pretty fluent in GUI and general programming knowledge, and I'm also in love with terraining. So, expect to see me around here a lot more as I've started a few projects and am very interested in not only finishing them, but getting them polished and offering some DOTA (ugh) alternatives. Perhaps, my anti-dota remark is a little cliche, though? But I just can't stand the game, haha.

Note: This is my first (second, but I haven't done any triggering on the first, just terraining) map in a long time. I haven't even played Warcraft III TFT in a few months and just got it reinstalled. The total time worked on this map is probably only around 48 hours, so I hope you are too harsh with your criticisms! Although, don't be too light--I need to know how to make it better!

Map Name: HeroCraft Mercenaries
Style: Hero Arena-esque

Description: A variation of the HeroCraft 2 game. I made some changes to mine in attempt to spice things up a bit. Although I did enjoy playing HeroCraft 2 I felt it was lacking and didn't have a comprehensive understanding of game fundamentals. I created this map in attempt to change and improve upon HeroCraft 2, with no disrespect to the original creator. Choose your Hero (in my version, heroes are not only chosen for their appearance, but also for their primary attribute, and attributes per level). Then you're free to select from over 66 skills (no custom, 5 skills max [4 + 1 ultimate, or 5 regular]) and 11 ultimates (no custom, 1 max). Create a powerful mage, a deadly assassin, cunning archer, or brutal warrior; it's up to you! Tweak and perfect your Hero so that it comes out on top with three different types of play (FFA, Team (3v3v3v3) or Epic (6v6).

Help Wanted: Are you interested in helping me work on the map? Currently this is a large project for one person, but I am dedicated to it and looking for help. If you are proficient in JASS2, that would be of a huge benefit to me and allow me to expand the features on the map greatly, as well as make it run a lot smoother than it currently does (although it runs pretty smooth). If there is nobody that deals with JASS2 then someone who exceeds in GUI would help too. I'm pretty effective with triggering, so I'm not looking for an 'average' assistant, rather a partner with some decent experience, please.

Testers: This map needs testers! If you are on USWEST please contact me (wussupallies@uswest) and hopefully we can organize larger games when the time comes. Currently I have labelled the map 'Open Beta' but there are still problems with it I need to work out (again this is hard by my lonesome with moderate GUI knowledge).

Okay got some suggestions
1) More custom. have seen some terrian with custom trees and hero skins

2) maybe a more player challegin areas? like elevating floors, firetraps, roling boulders(?) some thing that would make players think about how they are figthing. (plus this would make your hero arena unique)

3) i know the map is not done but make the wisp last forever, but it gets killed when u select a hero. u get stressed when selecting a hero (i was like "aarg 10 seconds left lich or mage!!?" )

4) relocate the start place. why is it placed in the middle? and why is it so big? takes up lots of the space
