Dungeons ORPG

This is a concept for an ORPG. I havn't begun working on it yet. I thought I'd see if there were people skilled enough and willing to sign on.

The name tells it all, this map is based on the concept of defeating dungeons to gain loot and levels to defeat even tougher dungeons.

There are a few elements of an RPG that I'd want from this project:

1.) Each player should feel as though his/her character is unique.

2.) Leveling up should be an accomplishment. There should never be a span of more than 10 levels with no real rewards.

3.) Gameplay should be seemingly endless. Reaching the "level cap" should take a very long time, and once it's reached there will still be plenty of overwhelmingly difficult dungeons to beat as well as unlockable new classes of some sort resulting in the starting of a new character.

I have high expectations about this project. I could handle doing all of the scripting on my own but it would be great if there are some skilled scripters here willing to join in this new effort.

I'm still working on the class system, or lack there of. I'm thinking along the lines of a hybrid between character evolution and a set class system with a few base classes that branch off into elements or something.

I could use some artistic terrain designers, players interested in character class concept designs and maybe a scripter or two.

Let me know if this sounds like something you'd be interested in.

Imo it's too late to start any proper orpg projects in wc3 at this time... The interest for ORPGames is continously fading. I suggest you offer your help to someone else already making an ORPG. Like KiliX rpg by keeperofstormz, that's my fav for the time being, although I pretty much don't play wc3 anymore.

Never-the-less, I'm going to be doing this. But I do realize it isn't right for me to charge in here promising greatness and expecting anticipation. I'll have to come up with some good content and provide some screens or a detailed example of the character class layout.

I'm thinking of a Ragnarok, Maple Story, Lineage 2 type of character class system with base classes and many branches.

A friend and I like to brainstorm about the ideal MMO game and I've had many great ideas cooped up for quite a while. I'll do all of the work my self for now and maybe half way through a few others will jump on the bandwagon.
