Recruiting for a short cinematic

I have recently began to work on a little cinematic project, not related to the current cinematic contest.
My first plan was to make first a short (around 1 minute) trailer to get people intrested, but getting used again to the World Editor is proving too time expensive for me. So, for now I have decided to focus on the modeling part. I am currently starting to animate the main characters, some doodads are already done, and within a couple of weeks all the custom art should be ready.

Positions are open for:

- terrainers: the terrain itself won't be very complex since the story takes place in the desert, I assume a regular terrainer could get it done in one hour or two. The main scene is a little outpost, but there will be shots of a little canyon and a more fertile area. All I need is the basic map layout, I'll refine the details myself if necessary.

- triggerers: basically someone who can take care of camera movement, fade filters, and unit commands. They are all simple things that can be made in GUI, but again, I'm not used to it anymore and it's proving too time expensive.
Previous experience with cinematics is of course preferred.

- Someone who enjoy concept writing and\or character design is also welcomed.

Hi, I'm here filling for Captain Griffen: You need more info.

Having put that out of the way, I'm interested in helping - as long as it's not too long and doesn't have too many complicated action parts and I like the script (hmm, a lot of ifs - well, then you really need more info :) ), I could do all the triggering.

I'm not really sure on what else could I say without spoiling the whole story...

I understand. Well, at least tell what genre is it, drama, action, comedy, fantasy...?
And, well, as long as it is short as the title says, my offer to help stands.

I could chip in to take a stab at making the map.

Previously, I've done this map: http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=88784

Im pretty ok to triggers.. I know almost nothing about JASS (except how to prevent leak with the Custom Script trigger), but im good at triggering. I have made some cinematics before, one of them is pretty famuos at www.ClanCBS.com .. not because it very good made, but its very fun if you know the clan (official website= www.CBSCity.co.nr ). Just let me know ;)

Well, all the people (1) I was cooperating with have vanished after a week.
Let's try it again, one last time:

What am I doing:

A short trailer of a story that I'm slowly developing. Of course I don't want to spoil anything about it, but I can tell that it has almost nothing to do with Warcraft. The only things that I'm keeping from Wc3 are:
- the look of the characters. All the models are from scratch, except for the head part; that's not because I'm lazy, but because that when you'll see the cinematic, I want you to remember who had that face in Wc3. In a way, it's a parody of the role they had in warcraft, and in another, I'm using that background to "reinforce" their new role.
- some part of the races' role and background. Ogres will still be strong and stupid, nightelves will still go around naked, taurens will keep smelling flowers, and so on. I would like to keep a feeling of familiarity, but in an original way.

In the end, you could say I'm "using" some of the old wc3 characters as "actors" in a new background; at least, that's how I like to think about it.

What has been done so far:

Not much I admit. No terrain, but I did some textures and doodads, and they blend well with the game. And now I'm aiming a little higher concerning the visual detail.
An universal character model is ready to be animated, from wich most of the characters will be made. It is slightly more detailed than any other unit in warcraft, capable of facial expressions (I am pointing much on this). It's been a while since I stopped animating, but I'm re-learning fast enough.

What I really need

The help of an experienced terrainer, preferably someone who's been on the community for long. Either way, someone reliable, if you plan do 1 hour of work and then vanish for a year and half, then don't bother.
I don't need much work on the terrain, but without it, I can't do much else...

Last but not least, a good skinner is essential; believe it or not, my psp skills are now worse than ever, if that's even possible.

Needed but not essential

- A concept artist with good creativity and eye for the details, I could use a bit of help to define the look of some characters and sketching the scenes.

- Someone experienced with the Cinematic System.

That's all for now, I'm here to answer any questions, should they arise.

I would be interested in helping out. I know the cinematic system and can do some terraining (but not the best at it).

My only question is how long will this project last?

Glad to hear that.

The shorter, the better. For now I just want to bring out a 1-2 min trailer, wich is just a presentation of the background, people and relationship within the story. It will also set the minimum graphical standard for the cinematic. Then if all goes well, and there's enough feedback, might aswell develop the rest. For now, however, let's do one step at the time.
Most of the work required will be the character animations, because I want them to literally act the story. The terrain will be probably the easiest part, while scripting will be more time expensive.

A note to whoever want to join: we will need to talk via msn a couple of times; I prefer to avoid emails because it would take too long.

I'd be up for terrain, critic, proof-reading.

Are we talking Barrens-style desert? Dunes? Salt plains?

Count me in for scripting. You can reach me at ammorth (at) gmail (dot) com. Just send me an email there and If I'm available, I will be on msn within a couple minutes (my msn is the same email address).

Ok, but before going on I really need to know if a skinner is at least reading this, because without help on that regard, I'd better drop the whole project.
I'm attaching one of my test models, that should show you at what level my modeling\animating skills are by now (and why I'm in needing of a skinner ).
