i have a units movement speed up to 522, but ingame that is too slow. ive tried changing the gameplay constants to a higher number but it always resets to 522 max. is it possible to make it higher or no?

With auras and such, i think it is. Otherwise, no.
Try boots of speed, auras that give speed boosts, ext.

Um, no. It is impossible to give a unit in wc3 a higher movement speed that 522. The pathing system isn't designed to handle speed greater than that.

Yea even if you add values it won't work

i remember some post about someone breaking some kind of unit speed limit with auras and abilitys =/ but, that was quite a while ago.

Not possible. Even shift clicking the speed limit and adding auras and items and...

No.

Exactly. However, I once though about augmenting the unit's move speed via triggers when it should be faster, you could try that. By setting the X/Y you wouldn't be interrupting it's orders and you could give it a decent speed boost.

If you want to use that method, take a look at Blizzard's "Azeroth Grand Prix" but be forewarned that it's a lot of effort for what usually ends up being an unimportant increase in speed.

Never said it was easy. And there's a reason I only thought about it.
