Is there a way to change the language of my World Editor (and perhaps warcraft itself) to English ... (currently it is german) ?? |

I think not. The only way to change language is to have the game patch on that language. You probably have installed some german patch |

The reason why i have german wc3 is perhaps that im german ... could perhaps somebody upload all the textfiles ?! (Units\HumanUpgradeStrings.txt ...Units\ItemAbilityFunc.txt ...and stuff like that ..the best would be if you could upload the txt.files of war3.mpq. war3x.mpq and War3Patch.mpq) Question: If i change the txt-files inside my mpqs ...will it prevent me to patch my game when a new patch comes out ? |

NEVER change the files inside your MPQs. Besides, im pretty sure the world editor looks for local files in your install directory prior to looking in the MPQs. |

Yes, there is one way: 1. Search in a torrent site WC3 in English 2. Download it 3. Remove your WC3 installation keeping the game data. 4. Install again using the English version using your original serial codes. That's all, now you will have WC3 in English. I had to do that in order to get the language. |

Serial code means CD-Key right? Or are they diferent? Would you be able to download a TFT version too? Gah, sorry for slight detour but I have the same problem except mines in Chinese. Too bad I blow at reading Chinese >.< |

In that context, it would mean CD-Key. Edit: And it shoudl work for TFT too |

thanks for your work ... but arent there some "strings"-txt files like for example: "Units\UndeadUnitStrings.txt" i dont need those Func.txts only the String txts EDIT1: ...problem solved...found those files in my widgetizer directory ... nevertheless...*here* take some rep for your work EDIT2: it works for the ability and buff strings ...but it doesnt work for unit and item strings ![]() EDIT3: strange ...now it works for all ..stRanGe |

I realize that implementing these to change the language is a risk. But what are the risks? And how risky is it? And also, how would I implement these, as I need them like he does (and for WarCraft 3 itself). |

i dont think this is risky ... it only changes the names and tooltips of units/items/abilities and buffs in the editor and wc3 itself to english • dont use the files of raveneye they are causing LOADS of bugs • just put those Units\******Strings.txt files in the directory "*your wc3 path*\Units\" DO NOT EDIT YOUR MPQS • and if you want to get rid of it just rename the directory or delete them |
