A tutorial here says that using the Orc - Spike Barrier is the most reliable thing. I always usually use the Human - Sphere for my attachments, but it usually disappears for a moment when the unit is attacking (which sucks if we're using attachments like wings and tails, etc). I know that using Life Regen Aura will give us team colour. Now I can't get my Wing attachment to work on my unit using the Spike Barrier. What do you guys think? |

I'm happy with Life Regen Aura myself. Use it all the time. |

There are some tricks to OE attaching. Your problem is way too vague for any specific help, but I think it might be something like "right hand" or whatever. In OE, make sure you type the multiple word attachment points as [ "hand", "right" ] Also make sure the attachment model itself works and isn't screwy. I use Sphere myself, no reason to use anything else really. |

For me i'm using the item armor bonus, btw, Rising_Dusk said, i think this is what you need, I've copied this from somewhere in the forum, but forgotten where, so credit to whoever is writting this : Quote:

Sorry I wasn't clear: when I said "wing attachment" I meant a wing, like a bird's, which I attached to my unit. Problem so far is that it always disappears for a split second everytime the unit attacks. No problem with any other animations. I think this might be due to the fact the the original spheres does disappears when the Blood Mage attacks. I'm going to try the Life Regen Aura now. :D |

Slow Aura (tornado) is the best because you don't have to disable it. It doesn't show up on a unit's command card. |

I use triggers to attach models... but... that's me... BTW. I use triggers because they flow with the unit's death animation and I find it easier to manage than abilities. |

Problem with triggers is that (unless you store them to structs or local handle variables), there's no way to remove the effect. |

If I'm using it on only one unit, I use variables, if I'm using it on an army, I switch to abilities (or if I have the effort, array)... |

I had completely forgotten about the Slow Aura. THANKS. |

But it has a buff. For just attaching sfx you want Life Regeneration Aura. |

What's wrong with Sphere? It has no buff, it has no icon, it was MEANT for just attaching FX to units... |

There's a field for the refresh of that. Just set that field to 0.00 and it autorefreshes. |

Ah so there is a buff for the Slow Aura. Well, it seems like Life Regen aura is th best ability for attachments after all. Although from what Rising_Dusk just said I assume you can set the cooldown to 0 and the attachment wont blink/disappear, ...so in the end it's just preference then. Thanks for the discussion guys. :) |
