Hey.. I've edited the human weapon upgrades and changed the names and stats. In the editor, I can see my new names. In the map however (in my clean install wc3 folder - i have 2 wc3's one for editing in case of corruption, and another for testing/playing), the names don't show up BUT the changed stats and costs do.
Is there another file I need to add to the w3m? I have upgradedata.slk and humanupgradefunc.txt, humanupgradestrings.txt files in the w3m.

I have simillar problem, but with requirments, and place of upgrade. In editor everything seems to be OK (that one from folder XXX\warcraftIII\Units\HumanUpgradesData.txt). The name is changed. But when I start game only changed things are from
UpgradesData.slk. I don't know why :/. I put both of them into map file AND into folder warcraftIII\Units\.. Can't we change upgrades?? PLIZ HELP!!!

In order for an upgrade to work properly there are 3 files that must be edited to some extent or another. One is the Units\UpgradeData.slk which houses the basic info for upgrades for all races. Here is where you would adjust the cost and some of the effects for upgrades. The next two files are for each race that you are affecting. In the case of Humans you would need to change and embed the files Units\HumanUpgradeFunc.txt and Units\HumanUpgradeStrings.txt. You would place them in a folder entitled Units under the WC3 folder in order to see them in the WE. To see them in the map you would need to embed them into the map using a program like WinMPQ. After they are placed in the w3m file you cannot open the map in WE because they will be removed. For them to work in the map again you would have to re-embed them.
