Remove Special Effects Without Displaying Death Animation?

Is there a way to remove a created special effect without it displaying it's death animation?

I know special effects do take on vertex colour properties of units they are attached to, so if it is attached to a unit you can set it to transparent, destroy the effect and then set it back to normal. That might work, I haven't tried it before.

set unit animation so some thing like dead most units have no visible points on death state

remove effect and restore animation

this will cause grafic bugs on some units

too bad there wasn't a simple custom script to destroy it instantly.
