As mentioned before the in Art Gallery, here is the requested HE building pack. Structure style is meant to reflect WC3 not WoW. The pack contains; - 3 Town/Keep/Castle models. (with respective animations) - Heavy Arcane/Magic Tower (meant to replace bombard tower) - Special HE Den (meant to be used as forge) - Special HE Hall (meant to be used as workshop) - Special HE Altar - Doodad HE tower - HE Lumber yard - Dragonhawk Nest - HE Dock Each buildable structure has its own Enabled/Disabled Icons. Futher info in the Readme.Txt. *Special - Means that the NE elements of those models have been replaced with human-esque features to match HE structures ingame. (birth, death animations and effects). *(now updated with dragonhawk nest)* |

I doubt this will get approval, due to the lack of cute textures for the buildings...i mean the ship yard, and the halls, and then dens. They don't look cute at all, you could have done better skins and edits on them. they currently look "recolored" well, i know they are, but they dont look cute at all :P. well the town hall is cool. |

I see what you are saying and this is how i'll explain what ive done.Now these are not just simple recolors, each skin has its own unique elements (except perhaps the dock, that is recolored and added a thatched roof and side wall, but i didnt think too much of it, since ports are themselves are not focal points in Wc3). The mindset behind the changes is the same one behind the similar aproaches between the NE houses and the HE houses as follows; There are almost not diferences between them, except wall patern and they obvious beam changes, and I believe the intent was to show the heritage evolution between one group and another. ![]() Here are the actual changes in the skin, as one element of the few that make these models unique. ![]() As Celestea said, I could have done a better job on these skins. A better job would essentially mean to change the common elements i pointed out in the graphic, that would represent a small change really since i would change much else. Im perfectly fine in considering these the Sister-models of the NE buildings, much the same as it is between HE and NE houses. Reasons why it's a valid model resource; - These are not simple skins or recolors, they have their own unique features that i believe are in the "sister-style" used in Wc3 between HE and NE buildings. - Now, seeing these models arent changed or altered in physical form, then they must be considerer "skin" resources?.. No. These models have been edited to support their own (HUMAN) birth, death and splat effects. If it was simply a skin they would spawn and splat like NE buildings killing the ilusion of being HE buildings. - When you reskin a model in Wc3 using the ingame model, you could only have one version. This is problem because you could not have HE and NE versions of each building in the same game. Reminding the previous fact, these are their own models and can be used without replacing any original NE building. - There are no similar resources out there. And these are fun. (keep in mind that im releasing these as part of series of requests, because i have a months vacation, not that ive actively returned to modding). p.s Celestea we need to talk one day, maybe we can do something together in the next few days. |

Hmm... It's not as great as your previous pack, but it does look great still. I guess there could be a use for this. |
