I have a map I made in roc, and i imported a nice tree doodad .mdx whatever file into war3.mpq. I could then access it in world edit and whenever I play I see the sexy lil tree. But other people who join my game and play see nothing, or the purple/black cube. Basically, whats the process for RoC for placing that .mdx in my map so other people can see it in-game as well? p.s. I do have MPQEditor and I know how to use it, I'm guessing it has something to do with it. |

Ok... I use TFT, but I think this will work: - Open WinMPQ - Open your map in the WinMPQ - Click "Add" then select your .BLP file. - Type the correct path and click "OK" - Click the "Add" button again and then select your .MDX file - You may type the path, but it doesn't matter whether or not you do since you imported the skin. - Open WE and choose the unit you want to assign the model to. - Type the path in the model field and it should show your model. - Save your map, then re-import the files again using the same paths. This must be done because when you save, your files get deleted. I hope this helps! ![]() |

Wrong forum, but ya, you need to import the model into your map. |

Then I think you just write the path for the mdl/mdx file... ![]() |

when i go to WE and to the object editor to choose the model file, isnt the "custom model path" searching in the war3.mpq file, and not the map file?? |
