Silence has fields for making units miss. However, these fields do not effect units without spells. Is there a way to make the miss affect all units and still silence spell casters?

There is a way, because it checks for:
-Spells
-Specials (???)
-Ranged Attacks
-Melee Attacks

Choosing a certain type of attack, however, would disable it all together, as far as I know.

Incase you're interested, there are also field to slow attack speed and movement speed.

Right and if I select one, it disables the attack completely...

I am guessing there isn't a way. If I was to use drunken haze, it would have a retarded pointer and stack with breath of fire.

Is there something I could change in the map's script or MPQ or something?

Um... try specials. I'm not sure what Specials are but they might "add a buff" without doing anything...

I think special is items and passive abilities.

Edit: Special doesn't seem to block anything.... And it did make it work on units, THANKS! +rep

Specials may be stuff like ensnare, which aren't classified as spells.

I made a fear spell that disabled attack and increased move speed by 100% simply by making it affect attack, i don't know why you were having troubles with it.

He wants to add penalties (such as attack-miss/movement hinderance) WITHOUT disabling anything.
