Question: When I used to use photoshop 7 to skin I had no problem seeing the alpha channels that were with the .tga files when they opened. Now using CS2 (or any version after 7.0), the alpha area appears black and its causing problems... do I REALLY have to download 7.0 to get this fixed? |

MS - when you choose the alpha channel, don't forget to deselect it (I mean, "uncheck" the eye in CS2) before you save the file. If I am right, this is what happens (what you describe) when you have all the channels set visible. That is, all RGB, Red, Green, Blue and Alpha channels. Only the first 4 should be left visible when after you're done working with the alpha. So... save it leaving the alpha channel set on not-visible (no eye on the left of your layer). Hope I remember correctly. |

very simpel: go to channels and select the Alpha channel, vink the eye on and paint all white to see everything and all black to see nothing. Btw download GIMP, it's mutch easier for editing Alpha GIMP Download |
