Pheonix Fire

Ok, so I want to change the buff of Pheonix Fire so that it looks different. I change the buff of PF to Tornado Sweep, but when I use the actual ability, it gives me Pheonix Fire (buff) instead.

Everything works except the buff so... could I please have some help on this?

Changed the buff in Phoenix Fire to "Buffs - <your buff name>" ?

That's my problem, I change my buff to Tornado Sweep, and then it gives me Pheonix Fire for a retarded reason...

Doesn't phoenix fire have a buff for both the caster and the target?
Are you sure you replaced the correct one?

If I understood properly then you need to go to "Buff/Effects" find the "Phoenix Fire Buff" (or create a new one based on it) and change the field "Art - Target" then choose the model you want (for an example Tornado Spin). This should make the PF buff look different.Then about that second one I'm not sure that any skill will work with this buff so try to base your ability on the PF (ability)

According to my world editor there is no original buff...

Its not listed in the buff field for some reason, it does exsist in the buff editor though, if you are not using the buff anywhere else, you can just edit the actual phoenix fire buff.

If you dont wish to do that, then right click the phoenix fire buff and create a new buff based off it, and that *should* register correctly in game.

It's not like the game is gonna wonk out and crash, but if it's some kind of moral stand then I guess it's time to explore new spell options.

Its because if you edit the original one your stuck with one of whatever you edited..

obviously, which is why I mentioned, "if your not using the buff anywhere else" in my first reply. Anyway, not sure why you couldnt get it to work but I did and here is the map. I made a custom buff and effect, and it works fine.

*edit it just occured to me that you might have meant the buff art so I changed it all to chain lightning and it works.

kk, It actually works now, lol I don't know why it was working in the first place, I did the same things but still didn't work, but the pheonix thing I didn't expect.
