My Version of Elementals

This is my version of how elementals exist. I think its pretty cool! Rep me if you like it!!! NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE WARCRAFT 3 LORE AND NOR DOES IT RELATE(Mostly ). When I refer to 'we' or 'us' im referring to Earth

Elementals
Long ago, over 100 eons before present date. Before any of the universes, called the multiverse, formed or even began to exist, there were five 'planes' of existence, the Astral Plane, home to the etherial counterparts of all living creatures and bound to time, the Spiritual Plane, home of our spiritual energies and bound to all living creatures, the Coporeal Plane, home of physical existence and the only plane where creatures can be visible, the Nether Plane, which held the energies that binds the planes together, and the Etherial Plane where all magical energies and the energies of nature are bound. Etherial counterparts of a duplicate of our body that is made of astral essences and when a coporeal body is replaced with this etherial counterpart, the person becomes unable to be damaged by physical assualts, but becomes weaker to etherial and astral magics. If our astral counterpart dies, so do we, and vice-versa.
At this time, nothing at all existed, there was no matter, no life, nothing except the swirling energies of the planes, but at this time were only connected to 4 planes. We had not yet been bound to the etherial plane. Eons passed and nothing happened, untill we collided etherial plane, magics of all sorts combined and fused and mixed and seperated. What was left after this epic encount was matter! The multiverse began to form, and several universes are now forming. Also, from the energies released by the blast, were small strange creatures that formed formed from the energies. They were known as the Kaalm'Thorum or ancient ones. Today, they are referred to as elementals. At first there were only 3 elemental types. They were Fire, Water, and Thunder. These elements were known as the prime elements, and the strongest of an element was it's leader and was a member of the Triangulum, a group that consists of the leaders of the prime elements.
As planets and life began to form, lesser elementals formed. They are known as the Aspects of Nature and are as following: Light, Shadow, Celestial, Air, Demon, Earth. As the energies that formed the prime elementals mix, so did the elementals' energies. They formed conglomerate elementals and the largest mixture of elements in a conglomerate is three, and an elemental cannot consist of all parts of the same element, eg:Fire, Fire or Water,Water,Water. Making a total of 990 differents elements possible. There is 10 elementals total, the tenth being the most recent and most powerful, it was created when the powers of the triangulum fused during the Elemental War and this elemental was know as Magic Elementals, and they are the safekeepers of the elemental energies.
All elementals have leaders, even the lesser elementals do, and the list of leaders is as follows:
  • Magic: Kel'Tharalk
  • Fire: Sulfuras
  • Water: Aquantior
  • Thunder: Aeros -\
  • Air: Aeros -/ Conglomerate of Air and Thunder
  • Earth: Kathune
  • Light: Belore -\
  • Celestial: Belore -/ Conglomerate of Light and Celestial
  • Shadow: Angmar
  • Demon: Netherain Note: Demon Elementals are a sub-class of Shadow elementals and are only given a class of their own because they vary greatly from common Shadow elementals meaning they give different strengths and weaknesses in a conglomerate, also meaning you can't have a Shadow, Demon conglomerate.
Some elemental leaders are 2-part conglomerates such as Belore and Aeros who are leaders of two elements. Some elementals leaders are 3-part conglomerates such as Kathune who is a Earth, Magic, Shadow, and only lead one element.
The elementals have a power based political system where the strongest are leaders. Elements are divided into seperate sects where an elemental belongs based on power, type, conglomerate / not, ect.
EG: Fire -> Sulfuron Sect (Firelord Elementals) -> Sulfuras the Great Firelord
|-> Firebrander Sect (Powerful non-firelord elementals)
|-> Wildfire Sect (Weak and/or undpredictable elementals)
Elementals for the most part and a see-and-kill race. Most elementals except light, celestial, and magic elements, will kill on sight for several reasons; Threat, Sport, and Fun, with the most brutal being demon and shadow. Along with this, an elemental can only be defeated in one way possible. One must consume the essences of a elemental that can no longer protect themselves. This happened only once where Sulfuras consumed all of Al'Akir the old thunder prime during the elemental war, thus destroyed Al'Akir and giving the power to Sulfuras. If an elemental 'dies' (not consumed), its energies return to the etherial plane where they wander back to the corporeal plane. Also, there is one elemental that can be absorbed to gain power. It is the demon elemental where a person can make a pact with one (If they survive long enough) and agree to house the demon in return for power. The downside is where they are weak, the demon could posses the host permanently giving the demon more power.
I keep mentioning the elemental war, so its due time I tell you what it is. It was when Aeros was able to lure and attack both Fire and Water sect leaders. The following chaos brought in outside elementals triggering a plane wide war. During this war, Aquantior rose to power and nearly slayed Aeros and Sulfuras by himself, earning his sect the Tidal Fury name. The energies released by this war caused the plane to unbind most of itself from our planes and now its swings around. The last time this plane realigned itself for a short period of time was about when the salem witch hunts were. Coincidence, I think not! Time to mention the fact that elementals cannot exist without the energies of the etherial plane. These energies were released by contact between our plane and the etherial plane and creatures that gain extended bombardment by this energy slowly gain the ability to manipulate and channel these energies. Since the etherial plane mostly only touches a small band, the wake released doesn't reach most of the plane, making elemental travel limited. We outside this wake so we are in no danger.
Now, the elementals continue to fight and duel and such in the etherial wake and every so ofter they are released upon the entire plane, only to be pushed back years later. This is the cycle that will persist forever and untill all matter is gone, so will the elementals.

Please REP me if you like my story!!!

Aw, too bad I haven't seen any fantastic worlds today that use this sort of historic meaning for something so basic as elementals.

Personally, I probably like Elementals the best out of any race out there. My reasons being that they can be made of basic or complex structures of matter around us. You can also give them cool powers beyond physical limits that could make sense. More so then if organic lifeforms were to do it.

The sad thing is that in RPGs today, Elementals are usually seen as bad or hostile. And I think your theory suggests that for quite the lot of them, too. But, that's just me. I've seen few animes of Elementals as good things, but that's just anime.

There's one thing that doesn't make sense. Where do Elementals get the intellect to live? I guess I'm saying, "How did they get brains?"

I think that their brains are created because they are bound to the energies of life, and that very life gives them conscience like it has to us. Be it small or complex.

Sry for double post, but no one has posted since umm, a month. I didnt say that all elementals are evil, their are three elements that are peaceful, one of them being the strongest element out there, Magic...

plus, belore is only a sin'dorei word, meaning it couldve been named by blood elves!!!...... and since belore is a sun / solar elemental and belore means sun, i thought it made sense... and what, no one else had comments?
