The Kingdom of Kaliron This RPG is a continuation of my original RPG back in 2003: HeroQuest: The Beginning of the End. The players are pitted against Qual'Xel's minions and have to fight to save the world (how cliche!) There will be 12 playable heroes each with 6 abilities. All players start with 4 of their abilities and must learn their 5th and 6ths either from a book that will drop off a tough boss, or through a quest line. Unlike most abilities there are no upgrades or skill points used to upgrade your spells. Instead, each spell's abilities are directly determined by your heroes stats and level. As your hero grows, your abilities automatically scale with your stats. This map uses Weaaddars item equipping system to handle items such as helms, body armor, weapon, shield/offhand, accessory (ring, neck, trinket, etc). This allows Wc3's inventory to remain open for potions, quest items, scrolls, and other various items. There is an NPC chat system which allows you to talk and interact with NPC's. While most responses are fixed where you can only ask key questions or give certain answers, depending on quests that you can started / finished / failed, it will unlock more responses to NPCs. The monster spawn system will scale depending on how many players are in the game, and how many players are in the same region as you. While this is meant to encourage teamwork, it is also meant to try and keep things balanced for those who perfer to go off on their own. This will be a Save/Load RPG with plans to have multiple maps for the same RPG, which will include more open areas, items, quests, and dungeons not featured in the starting map. The Heroes Note: each hero has some sort of healing or regenerative ability, but of course nothing will heal like a good Cleric or Druid Arcanist - Master of arcane talents and AoE magic Pyrotechnician - Master of the art of fire Cleric - Master of the holy arts and curative magics Warrior - Master of the defensive arts Barbarian - Master of the offensive arts Druid - Master of the nature Hydromancer - Master of the aquatic arts Chaotic Mage - Master of the dark arts Chaotic Knight - Master of no art but excels in offensive, magic, and curative abilities Ranger - Master of the bow and arrow Rogue - Master of the shadowy arts Paladin - Master of the divine protection arts Plans for a demo is to be released soon. The demo will contain the first 3 zones, a few basic quests, and the first 6 playable heroes. Save/Load will not be available in the demo. Players will start with all 6 abilities.
