Greetings Every One. Behold the fruit of my elven labor. Inspired by sinister X's work with high elven buildings though originaly part of my campaign (not even close to done). I have heavily edited and created these buildings from blizzards originals, and edited towers made by Armel I believe. Every one welcome version 2 of these buildings. (please rate from 1-5) TownHall- Elven Haven Farm- Homestead Altar- Altar of the QuelDorei Barracks- Elven Hall Lumbermill- Arcane Tree Forge- Elven Forge Magic Barracks- Arcane Spire Shop- Elven Vault Sky Barracks- ElvenRoost EpicBuilding- Elven Temple Download the models from this post http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showpost...2&postcount=40 To get the models to work.... 1: Download the set on the 3rd page of the thread. 2: Import all models and skins. (As many of the models use the same skins as the others) 3: For skins simply remove the "warcraft3imported/" part. You can do this for the models as well. 4: For the icons (BTN, DISBTN) use these paths... ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTN(icon name).blp ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTN(icon name).blp. |

woah, unless i'm mistaken theres an entire tech tree worth of models..... they look like a mix of the naturey NE with the traditional HE human like but cleaner style. just doen't seem right. the ones lacking trees look pretty good though |

I cannot vouch for these working in-game, but I can vouch for their general awesomeness. |

Makes me want to mod. Sexy |

There is indeed an entire tech tree. The trees give it a more original and elven look fore even high elves built Quel'Thalas intune to nature. But i'm very glad that you like them. What do you think of the Roost and the Temple and the Havens (townhall)? They do work in game. An updated version will appear soon for the small bug with the Arcane Tree I found (the beams change in the work animation) not very noticeable but I found it none the less. |

My opinion doesn't mean much here (well any wc3 site these days :P) but-- I really like how the Havens turned out. The roof is kind of stretchy--if you wanted to make a more interesting model edit, you could slice the roof into two sections and rewrap around for a more interesting effect. However, I really like the skin edits. They seem kind of -simple- I suppose, but they look great overall with the model edits. The elven roost looks great. Totally looks perfect next to trees. I wonder if a High Elf race should have a triggered system entwined with their buildings to magically spread trees in the general vicinity or something. Temple...eww. The top is good, but the bottom is meh. The orbs are a good wrapping idea, but they need some kind of glow around them. Are they animated to spin on their axis? With a glow attached to them, I think that would look great. Furthermore, what on earth is in the center? I think you may need to rework that tree thingie. It's over stretched and extremely odd looking in proximity with the rest of the building. If you need to, make a separate hexagon for the platform so it has its own separate wrapping and give it a neat hexagonal spin around the blue rug tex you used, so there's a definitive circlular effect that would make some kind of noticeable circle around where the tree is. Then, add more detail to the tree, as it looks like a nature blob thing atm. |

Rinpun: Thanks for the feed back. I'll most likley do some skin stuff and even edit the temple. But I cannot make stuff spin even though I now want to. I just can't animate from scratch or figure out how to edit the existing ones however if some would like to do that they have my full permission. |

The trees do add a wood elven element to the buildings. But they are HE buildings the trees where my way of adding ambience and making them a little more original. And I like trees :) This only means that they have two purposes one High elf and one Wood elf. |

Who cares what you call them? Seriously. They all follow a particular theme, they fit GREAT together, and they look like they would be their own race, not some alteration of another race. (Though several of the structures were based on others obviously) I like them as a whole, good color choices too. EDIT: I can't check, but they support team color right? That's important. |
