(9) Leonidas' 300

Hero defend map... similar to the movie... but don't take me as one of the millions Bnet noobs, i really spent some time on this.. so give it a try.
It's still BETA ... so the game will end after you kill the "Immortals" wave .

Leonidas and his finnest soldier need to stop Xerxes' army from destroying Sparta, as they have massive numbers, you'll need to hold a narrow corridor (The Hot Gates).

This map has a pretty Defend rework ,
Soldiers can be dismissed to prevent them from dying for the firts waves.
Use your abillities the best way you can to hold them long enough.


Plz don't come here telling me that "300" style map sucks, if you think so, just don't Dl it, i'm posting here because i need some feedback..

There's like a dozen other 300-themed maps, but I'll check it out later.

Yo this better not be one of those 300 maps where you control a demon hunter named dilios which is totally out of place.

I've been thinking of creating a similar map.. But enough about crap about me.. I'll try it out now.

They weren't defending Sparta in history or the film. They were a speed bump to slow down the Persian army from invading ALL of Greece.

I was hoping this would be quite good, since you said "I actually spent time with this." But it turned out to be rather boring.

There aren't that few soldiers, and the game is just hack and slash with a little bit of survival.

All in all a game like this can be good if you made it an RPG or ORPG. You can tell the whole story and can even boost a player's motivation with good cinematics. But in it's state now it is rather dull.

well, ok i'll implement the cinematics... and add more role to the game... like, at the start of each "wave" or Stage there will be an cinematic explaining what need to be done. I'll concentrate on adding Role to the game. At the time only the basic thing is done... thx for the ideas

And also as far as I can remember the battlefield in the movie was large, so change your map size? It did not resemble the movie very much.

It's just not quite similar to the 300 movie. The best thing I can say is that you need to work on it more.
