Spell Contests

Okay...
The hero contest was 4 months ago.
The last spell session was 9 months ago.
It's time we had another one of either of the two.

Summer just started for me and is going to start soon for others, and God damnit I want a spell contest.
Blu would be willing to post it up and keep everything happy, all either of us needs is people saying they want it and Vex saying he'd dig it.
I know I'd join in on a new spell/hero contest.

I mean really people, show your support for this here.
Let's get this party started.

There is one spell contest at the Hive (check here), perfect for a warm up.

But yes, I support the idea 110%, count me in.

Eh, I read that one's theme and didn't like it at all.
We should really look into starting our own.

Another contest is needed definetly.

If we do have a spell contest, is there any requirements for the spell?
I mean, does it have to be JASS, and does it have to be MUI or not?

MUI gives bonus points always, so in some way.... yes.

I propose that this contest start as soon as possible (preferably today) or in one month.

Any contest made by people who create rules which so obviously make no sense and contradict really is silly.

Problem with these contests is someone needs to run them, and right now quite a few people are busy with exams.

All is needed is someone to make a thread, copy/pasting rules from previous contest with a new theme.

Then in 1 months time, making a new thread with a poll.

1 month for a spell is too much. 2 weeks as maximum.

Moyack seems active enough to moderate the contest. So does Vex.

I could do it, I volunteer.
Blu also said he would do it if Vex gives it an okay.

The real purpose of this topic is to generate interest and get admin support.
If that gets the clear, no worries on who could run it.

I remember a time when you dedicated your life to trying to become a SM over there...things did not quite work out how you had planned...don't pretend TH has any less skilled spell makers then here, just because more "noobs" participate, and so called "pros" do not always enter, I resent your low blows and ask you to hold your tongue before posting such rude comments again, it is uncalled for

in anycase, if I had the time I would prolly enter, they are always fun, even though I usually never even get a vote :(

meh, now that you made this thread I will have to delay the spell contest I was planning for another 4 weeks.
