Hey,

I was curious how to make that purple fog in a map like in Ashenvale like Nasrudin did? And if you tell me is it smart to use it in multiplayer maps or does it only cause lag?

thank you,

thanks for your 'kind' remark, but lady, I think I have already given enough info you will need if you are someone that can help me, but to do it your way...

Hello,

What I would like to use in my project is:

A purple fog

In the WE you only got green, white and blue fog, but I dont need fog that floats over the ground, no I need fog that is in the air, so you can better say I am looking for "purple air". To better understand what I mean go to http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthre...ight=war+3+WoW and check the blue fog you see in the pictures. Though thats blue fog, I need purple, so is there any kind soul that is willing to help me?

Yours sincerely,

ahh, thats what you want. Anyway,
#1: Not a lady. My avatar is from pr0n.
#2: You think you have given enogh information in your origional post. I do not. An really, who is more important in this equaion of you need help, I have answers?

When you say "In the WE you only got green, white and blue fog" you are speaking of the dungon fog weather effects. What you actually want is terrain fog. This can be changed in one of two ways:
  • Triggers. Under the Enviroment category in GUI, you can find the action "Set Fog".
  • In the WE itself. Go to the Scenario->Map Options... and look for the "Use Terrain Fog" option. below that, you can configure diffrent aspects of the fog. (expeiriment with diffrent values.) (to see terrain fog in the WE, press "v" to enable game view.)

If you can't figure out what all the values mean yourself, then please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for explaining, I found the fog option but when I for example pick blue color on the fog nothing happens, I just want the fog to look like a fog in a forest (you understand?). What values must I take for that?

Thanks,

If nothing is showing up, then you need to muk with more then the colour setting. Try adjusting the others. (i don't have WE open right now.) REMEMBER to enable game view mode with the V key. also try zooming out. (if a big wall of black obsqures your view, hold the CTRL key while you scroll your mouse wheel)
