Organization Idea for this forum

The search function doesnt work 2 well. It does not always get u the results u are looking for.

Imo, the information in the scripts and triggers section could use some organizing. My idea is something like this. Make a category called Spells>CrowForm> then in it, list every thread that is about crow form.

U can also make categories for sound,cinematic,etc. This way, it would be real easy to just click and click to get answers. The thread title could also be renamed to be more suitable.

This could take some time though but will save alot MORE time since repeated topics are less likely to occur.

There are currently 25,509 threads in the Scripts and Triggers section. Who has time to sort through all of that?

I understand that you want to organize, but Spells -> Crow Form is way too specific. I mean there's wayy too much skills in Warcraft to make like, 100+ sub-forums for them. However, if you do something like (you mentioned) sound + cinematic that might be okay...

You can run the very risk of making it too specific, because as far as a search engine goes, it will search for all possibilities of the entered phrase.

Having this many sub-sub-sub-forums would also make this site unbelievable fat and the search engine would be a pain in the ass to use when you need to search specific places.

Well part of the reason that there are so many threads is cause alot of the questions that are asked have already been answered. And i use the search button but it is quite far from accurate lol imo. A computer sucks at organization cause it involves understanding the topics lol.

Yep its alot of work but if u can do that, there will be less of the same questions being asked again. Well,its just a suggestion.

except there won't be. Because people never know what they want. And even with a bunch of tutorials on the same topics, people STILL ask the questions. And allot of repeat questions are people wondering what they need in the first place! What, make a forum called "How to change a ground units flying height" as a subforum of "Crow Form"? Thats insanity. People WON'T start reading threads just because theyre all organized.

And organization such as that makes things a BITCH to browse. (speaking from the perspective of someone who answers questions) Let alone to organize. We would need a few dozen mods to do it..

And the one, final, crushing flaw to this idea: Organizing stuff like that... is basically what the shitty search feature does.

I'm not trying to be rude or mean to you or anything. But, its a verry stupid idea.
