I have searched around using the search tool(duh) and the more threads about it I read, the more I got confused. So anyway, I want to clear things up in my mind. I want a toggleable passive, err let's say toggleable evasion. Now my unit has a dummy ability which is the toggler, and a custom spellbook ability which is disabled. Then when the unit casts the toggler, I add the evasion and do whatever to it. Now, I am assuming that the Custom Spellbook should contain the Evasion in it's spell list? Right? And if it's disabled, spells inside it will still be able to work. Though you can't order the unit to use them, and only passives work "correctly". And if you have a spellbook(I'll refer to this as A) inside a spellbook(I'll refer to this as B), all of A's abilities are shown inside B's command card. If I wanted to achieve that, should the spellbook B contain spellbook A in it's list? Am I getting it right? |

I don't have experience with putting spellbooks inside themselves, but I'm sure every spellbook shows spells from all spellbooks with the same order id inside its command card. |

Two Spellbook abilites: One as the actual spellbook which you can open and the other which disabled and has the evasion. Atleast that's how I do it. |

That's one of the parts I didn't understand.. Why make 2? One enabled and one disabled with the evasion? Shouldn't you just make one disabled with the evasion? ![]() Quote:
That was pretty clear, thanks. Repped :p Anyway, I still am abit confused with the toggling kind of ability. |

You can always test it with just one spellbook ability, which is disabled. I'd do it for you, but I'm editing some stuff on my map at the moment. |

In Vex's 2 spellbook experiments, he adds the skills learnt but in the object editor, the spellbook didn't contain any spells in the list. So does that mean I have to make a spellbook which contains evasion and add it do the parent spellbook? Should I disable the child spellbook? |

Well, as I said, that's how I do it. If you don't want to show the icons on passive abilities, then I guess you could try just adding a disabled spellbook or something, but I don't really know about that. |

In Vex's spell book experiment he has two spell books. Both are on the unit (not inside a spell book), but one is disabled. The abilities are inside to the disabled spell book, but because it is disabled they are transfered into the other book. |
