Well, its dimensions are a bit off. The render is kind of just sitting on a background. Try adding a orange/yellow background with some whiter spots. Also, see if you can blur the borders of the render into the background.

Just how I would do it. Try new stuff out, see if you can find a cool mix.

Good try for a first signature i must say; u already have a good render to start with. I remember when i 1st made a siggy, its plain red in the back wid a panda wid 2 swords.

Well anyways, i can see your'e trying to make like that dude had just came out from a sandstorm or somethin righ? like a mist? I suggest changing the yellow color to be a bit darker, like maybe browish and add some sandy textures on it.

Add some more stuff in the background to help it improve, play with opacities and blend options. Oh and maybe add some filter usage techniques on your background.

On the other hand, i think u already have a good font, maybe add some more blending options such as strokes, gradients, outerglows, bevel emboss etc. And also move the text to maybe at an offcentered place, like bottom righ, bottom left etc; i usually prefer a horizontal text. Like everybody said too, the height needs to be bit shorter.

I feel kind of guilty saying this here.... but if you go to the DotA website forums and look on the Graphics board there are always people posting their signatures and discussing them, and you can also find many good tutorials there.

If not, text on a pic...

I'm sure I've seen that model on a few things before.

It looks a little static, with lots of empty space. Try adding some texture to the open space, or adding watermarks or something.

You all have horrid signatures anyway to be criticizing this guy.
