Could you make lava give kill credit like barrel?

Right, I am going to make this short and sweet. When you kill a barrel, and it explodes and kills an enemy, you get the kill. Well, on lava, can you make it so that when you shotgun someone into lava, and the lava kills them, you get the kill?

P.S: On the subject of barrels, can you reduce the amount slightly, please?

Barrel damage, psh, the splash is small, and why would you walk next to a BARREL? Bad survival skills..

And, yeah, it would be hard for what you're asking, I think, because people can simply steal your kills afterwards.
Then again, you could just give the kill to the last person who did damage if the person suicides. . .

Well, if you were running towards the enemy base to capture the flag, of course you are going to walk past a barrel at some point. Then a sniper is out of your view on high ground, and they target the barrel, not you, and you die. Yea, give the kill to the person who did the last damage...

Well, what I mean is that, never run near a barrel in a 4v4-6v6, theres just so many enemies they're bound to snipe you or the barrel. And if its sniper you have, and its a 6v6, Just evade for awhile, or you could take your chances, but that hasn't worked for me for awhile. . .

to detect if a unit was shot into lava is rather hard to make i think. But not impossible. Just infrane is too lazy to make tat possible :P

It would be easy, just keep track of each player who last shot each unit, and if a unit dies from lava you just give them the credit, through an If statement.

I could make the trigger in like 2 minutes... you just make an array variable , 1 for each player, and record who is the last person to shoot who. Make it so it only works if the person shooting them has a shotgun though. Because someone could just like shoot them with a sub machine gun, and then if the person stupidly walks into the lava and dies, then the person who shot him with the sub machine gun would still get the kill.

Yeah, good idea. Why would you store it in an Array Variable? I'm just beggining to actually use variables cause' of leaks.

Ok so what if I shoot somebody with a shotgun and he jumps into lava?

If the sollution was that simple we'd have done it allready.

And besides, it's REALLY unimportant :)

I'm against kill counters unless in extremely special situations. If I ever need something like a kill counter, I use a damage counter, to eliminate Kill Stealing. Elimination Tournament gets away with kill counters because of the high mortality rate of the players.
But, anyway, if the other guy dies, it doesn't matter if you are "awarded" kills, as the only real important fact is that the other guy is dead. I prefer to think in terms of "How many times did they die?" rather than "How many times did we kill them?" Besides, the latter is just snobbishly elitist.

Personally, I enjoy getting the most kills. But shotgun in a lot of maps just screw you over (lava).

Shot by shotgun set kill = dude with shotgun
Jump set kill = the dude himself

Done. Fixed. Might do this, really dont care tho.

Yea, it doesn't matter if the person gets the kill (unless they have enough bounty or wuteva u call it and they get lots of gold from the kill) because when you are killing someone, the only thing you gain from it is stopping them from getting your flag, or killing them so they don't get youy or an ally who is stealing, or has stolen the flag. But then again, what if someone had a bounty so high (the number in parenthesis after there name) that it really mattered if they got the kill because they would have got so much gold from it (once i had 26 bounty from pwning n00bs with a shrapnel).
