Make a unit sell items?

Does the unit have to be able to move around and what not? I think that generally messes things up, because the "Select Hero" ability which lets the hero come close and buy stuff would grant the Customer hero the ability to force the shopkeeper to attack people and move around.

Ok got that to work but i can control the unit even when he is set to netural passive.I just want him to walk around and sell items how would i do that?

I don't think that you can make a unit sell items, you only can make it build units.

You can skin a building to a unit but he wont walk.

Cant you give an Uprooted Acient a unit Model and the sell units skill, and change it's movement speed to an acceptable level? you can't use that Ancient anymore as a tree or building, and I'm not sure if it workes, but i have tried to replace an Ancients model with another building's (for a mod) and i got a walking building... Not really sure if an Ancient is considered a builidng or a unit though

I have made some tests and the only way to not control the unit is to set the movement speed to 0. (it also removes the movement buttons so it looks like a building)

But than you cant get it walk around. :(

Make a selection event, so if anyone selects the shopkeeper, to unselect him, so he cannot be moved. They might be able to get a command off before it unselects, so have an event that if a unit is issued an order, and its from a human player, to order shopkeeper to stop. Its purely theory, so it may not work, but it should.

Yes random157 this work but if you don't set the speed to 0 the unit keeps all his movement buttons and this looks definitely not like a building. :bgrun:

And this takes also a lot of slots where you can't put items.

In one map, I saw a unit that sold items and moved around. It was some this map Cities of War that I attached, but it's protected.
