All of the maps ive created and tried to play online syas its to big. There has only been one tht said it wasnt to big. I dont get why it keeps saying this. I mean i only used like 15 models so far and theres less triggers then dota.

Triggers don't take up much space. Music takes up loads - don't use it. Uncompressed or badly done textures and models are also real hogs, but whatever you do they'll still take up a considerable amount of space.

4MB max on b.net.

That maximum is the technical limit. In reality, the most that the average dial-up user will download is 500kb give or take 50kb. DSL increases that to 1,000kb. A truly good connection (good cable, T1) doubles that average again to 2,000kb. If you use all 4,000kb, NOBODY (short of people who are AFK or on your friends list) will play your map.

crop the music to only the bits you need. reduce music quality.

models do not actual add much to size at all especially with MDX squisher and all that, maybe 60-100kb per model (without the skin)

If the 15 models you added to your map were badly (or not at all) compressed, then it could really add to the map size. Also, did you use WEU and advanced triggers, etc? That tacks on a chunk of size. And if you have music, then you're dead unless it's well compressed. I have a program that can compress Mp3's (and most any other music file. It offers, when installing, to add a program that can switch the format of music files) without a loss of quality. it also lets you crop the music to take out any blanks or anything that is just eating space.

Program name (it's free from the net, just google it. I'm unsure the exact link right now) is Wavepad, and it comes with Switch. Great music programs, if you have music you should definatly use those to compress and crop it.

EDIT: This should be it.

There should be a section in the help area that tells you how to reduce size (compression, conversion rates, and so on)
