Hi, recently I've been playing Pimp My Peon on Battle.net and found it to be a really fun game. For those of you who haven't played it, its a 12 player game (usually FFA, though it does support team play) and is basically a Footies map, but with some major differences. Players must constantly upgrade their peons with new armor, weapons, and speed enhancing wings, which all appear on the peons in the gamefield. Also, there are no hero units, only an aura giving unit. Spawn rates, base defenses, and the maximum number of units can also be upgraded. But anyway, what I'm asking is if the modification of a currently existing map is accepted here to be worked on and possibly approved at some point. (Not looking to be a hosted campaign) I can't contact the previous makers, but the map has not been protected so I've started some work on it. The changes I plan to do/am currently working on are some UI things to make the games easier for new players and help the player manage all the upgrades they have purchased so far. Also, I will redo the terrain, keeping the pathing areas the same and base locations the same, but just making it look better. When I have made enough changes that I think are worthy of a new version I will protect it and put my name on it next to the previous modders. Basically I want to keep the gameplay the same, but make it look and feeler cooler and more polished. |

Get permission. After that, assuming you polish it up nicely you map should have as fair a chance as any of being accepted to the database. That's not to say that the chance is very high at all, though... |

Well, look at Element TD. Exact same thing as you're asking to do. And Karawasa ended up getting hosted. But it has to be good... |

You need permission. Verifiable permission. No exceptions. |

We did not allow Elemenent TD until I had a letter from the original author. Simple as that. |
