overflow: auto; on signatures?

i always hate to see sigs cut off... (altho i do see the reasoning in limiting their space..) so, could ya make em "auto" instead of "hidden" ?

Why not allow for a scrollbar for sigs that exceed the limit?

Because we tried that and very much disliked it? We have been running this site long enough to know what works and what does not. If you have a problem with oversized signatures, then read the rules. I do not have to put up with oversized signatures, and could very well take the option away from violators. Instead I let them continue their idiocy and simply cut them off.

A signature is not your portfolio, myspace, desktop or scrapbook.

No seriously, scrollbars on signatures are so wrong.

If you want you can always make an stylish addon. Or whatever lame alternative Opera has.

And for yours, well you could always make a post somewhere (pastebin?) with a full table of all of them and link to it from your signature.
