My edited model is not working

hello its me again, and ive edited a model in magos model editor, i didnt changed any vertices, i just changed the texture to my edited texture, and saved it, but after that when i tested it in game, my model wont show, how did some model editors get their models work?

did you import texture to warcraft? or did you remove war3MapImported\ from texture path in import manager?

after i applied the texture to uther, i saved my model and tried it in wc3, but wc3 wont read it, i even tried importing the texture first, changed the path of the texture to Units\Human\Uther\Uther.blp, and imported the uther model which the texture is edited, but still nothing happens, whats wrong with this?

how about other modelers, how did they make it to work?...
and also some models didnt work, like General frank's units.....
and some other units here...

If you post your model and the map into which you tried to import it, then someone can probably tell you what you're doing wrong.

Try closing and reopening the WE after you've imported if you haven't done that yet.

ive tried closing and opening it already but nothing happens, ill post the model and map ASAP, i cant do it now, because this is not my real pc...

Units\Human\Uther\Uther.blp is right path, but only for original uther model, and not for your own model. If you create model in magos, then right path is only removing war3MapImported\.

how about other modelers? how did they do their model to work even without the texture imported?

ok, ive solved it already, rednek's answer is right, ill just remove the war3imported from the texture, and it works

and how to edit a portrait using my skin, and use it to my model?

They use default w3 textures. If you want to add default texture, just open MPQ browser in war3 model editor, select your texture by right click and then select "Use as texture"
Now you can change it with material manager.

EDITED: Import texture to your portrait model too. To use it just change name of it to Example_Portrait.mdx where Example is name of model that you want to use.

but i want to make my model uses my skinned texture, not the default texture.....

how about some models like the Dragon Titan by General_Frank, how did he configure the model using his edited skin? without the texture imported itself

for the portrait, how to edit it?
i skinned uther's eyes to red and i want my portrait's eyes to be red too, and talking, not the camera maneger i hate that....

im asking this because i want to submit a model made by me, like i want to edit uther's skin, and model him, and when i submit the model, the model uses the texture automatically without importing the texture already....

and yeah, also for 3ds max, i have 3ds max 8....and when i import an mdx model, edit the vertices, and export it again, does some animations will be ruin? if yes, please tell me on how to make it work...

i cant get 3ds max 5 and i have 6 and 8 only, so im searching for an art tool that supports 3ds max 5 and above....is there any?

There's no way to make model with edited texture work without importing the texture.
Frank's Dragon Titan does not use edited texture. It has default textures, but with edited UV mapping, so you can see only some parts of texture.
You must import texture to your portrait model too, not only to base model.

Tip: Try to conceive something by yourself and try to end with non-stop asking. Ask only if you try everithing and really don't know what to do.
