More accurately, most of Europe and the lands surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. Please critique the map if you see anything inaccurate, particularly with the rivers. Map size: 480 x 320 Image 1: Overview Image 2: Italy Image 3: Iberian Peninsula Image 4: France Image 5: Germany Image 6: Greece and Turkey Image 7: Black Sea, (imperial) Russia, Eastern Europe Image 8: The map, while I was working on it. I thought I would include this image to hint at how I made the map. |

you mean the Black Sea, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine AND Russia...Anyway, Danube has a delta. |

You should turn this into a risk type map, or something similar to Zurg's "Broken Kingdom" map. |

TDR: Sorry, I was thinking about imperial Russia. I'll include a delta with the Danube, thank you. Infrisios: I'm thinking about cutting off a bit of Africa and including northern Europe, at least all of Great Britain. I purposely left it off before, because it wasn't important to what I have in mind. Oh, by the way, in case anyone notices: I know that Malta isn't there, and I might add it in. |

What program did you use to get the map size past 258x258? |

Well, I used WEU, but I could have easily used an edited miscdata.txt file. (Edit: Actually, I don't think an edited miscdata.txt file would work) |

it's a bit ugly for wc3 terrain but it's creative at the least and it would indeed make for great risk style gameplay edit: i s'pose it's ugly mainly because we're at such a far distance and detailing such a mass would be damn near impossible |

Yes, that is true - and at that distance, the terrain tiles mess up and look quite ugly. Anyway, what I was going for was simplicity and total accuracy. I expect that adding anything more to the terrain would really make playing it very jumpy, especially with all the units each player will have. The actual units and buildings will make it less ugly. What really mattered to me, though, was accuracy. All of the maps I've seen that are hosted on BNet are often incredibly inaccurate (it just really bothers me). Edit: I could certainly make the part of Africa shown much better - the way the hills are right now is not that good. I suppose I'll update it soon. |

nice and its very near to the reallity with all corners isles and stuff :P but how about to playce like units in red or something to show the border of the countries?? so u can better imagine how big and so .... the countries really are :) and yeah an rpg map like travveling across europe or a risk map would be the best use of the map :P you shouldn't throw it away if u finishs it with terrain ;) |

Something doesn't look right about Spain, and the english channel needs to be a bit wider, the U.K. is practically touching France in this. |

Or to save FPS; instead of placing units for the border lines of countries, just use the big Checkered Square thing and color it red or leave it the way it is. |
