Im thinking about making a vJASS spell, how does this sounds... its a beserk - class spell that when cast does: lvl 1: Throws a fireball (collision missile) at an random point within the radius of 500 of target, with a random angle between 15 and 45 every .20 seconds for two seconds, costs 150 mana, 5 minute cooldown, each fireball dealing 100 damage with light AEO lvl 2: Throws a fireball (collision missile) at an random point within the radius of 750 of target, with a random angle between 15 and 35 every .15 seconds for two seconds, costs 200 mana, 5 minute cooldown, each fireball dealing 150 damage with medium AEO. lvl 3: Throws a fireball (collision missile) at an random point within the radius of 1000 of target, with a random angle between 15 and 25 every .10 seconds for two seconds, costs 250 mana, 5 minute cooldown, each fireball dealing 200 damage with large AEO and burning oil. |

What angle is that random angle? What map is this spell for? I'm confused. |

its just a random spell i felt like working on, the angle looks somewhat like this >, at the chest of a unit Range of launch >|Unit Body| |

Oh, now I get it. It's a bit too strong though, maybe give it a longer cooldown. |

Five minute cooldown is pretty big. I can't think of a standard ultimate that has a longer cooldown off the top of my head. Then again, it's a monstrous amount of damage. At level 3 that's 2000 damage in 2 seconds. I'm assuming that the angles you're supplying are actually describing a randomly-sized cone between the two angles and not as an offset from the caster's facing angle. Given that, anything in melee range in the angle window would be obliterated. Also at level 3 the AoE effect would be somewhat useless in such a narrow window. ![]() Anyway, ignoring your numbers I like the spell idea. As an alternative you could optionally have collision turned off and have them explode at random distances between the caster and the spell levels maximum range. |

no... the angle im talking about is the height field which adds / removes time to impact and the angle of fire is detirmined by the radius of the target point... |

say, ur at an battle and ur losin badly, u take a risk and burn most of ur mana and lose a second chance at winning the battle and cast this spell and hope it works and hope it wins u the battle. |

Man, this spell would take about 1 minute to make in my engine... might want to wait a few weeks. |
