The picture reminds me a bit Platon's Caveallegory. The cave looks not that bad but the people's anatomy looks very odd. But keep on working, i guess its not that bad for a beginner's work. :) |

is that dude with no lower legs shitting feet? Dude...what can I say, I'm a little disappointed of you. I tried to tell you how to improve, but from the looks of this I think for some reason you ignored me. Oh well, at least I tried. |

I suppose you had a similar disappointment from me, no? |

You should find some tutorial about human anatomy (I suggest you this one, it's simply and without bootless details) |

anatomy is really odd, I can't give you a link to an anatomy tutorial (cause I'm brazilian and I just have tutorials written in portuguese =P), but the one redneck pointed out seems very nice, you should try following that. |

I know, I have hurried with the human because I didn't have much time left. -actually I did him in 2mins. But to prove you that I HAVE improved, I will draw a proper good looking human, right? (this was one of the pics I have drawn for admission to university for applied sciences..its more of a technical branch of study) Edit: Lol so odd...I have several books about drawing anatomy, but the tutorial link you gave me is better than all of them...wasted money >_<. |

can't wait... oh, and sorry but not having enough time is the lamest excuse. If you really know how to draw a human, you can make a perfect looking sketch in under 1 minute. Trust me, I've been around people who could draw my entire life. |

TDR u cant be more wrong. Speed is a matter of practice. Im not drawing often, thats why Im slow. But I still know how to do it properly with enough time to think about. |
| 07-02-2007, 07:53 PM | #11 |
Well, there is not any conquest or something, so I can't see why you can't wait with posting for now, and finish it after you will have enough of time O_o |

Don't tell me I'm wrong, ok? I know exactly what I'm talking about. Practice in speed only results in a more polished drawing, but you can make a perfectly proportioned silhouette with very few lines very, very quickly if you know what you're doing. |
| 07-03-2007, 07:52 AM | #13 | |
Okay, so if it takes me 5mins to draw a proportionally right stick figure, and it takes you 1min, what does that tell us ? The result is the same, but you're faster because of practice. Quote:
I trust you do. But you don't know what I'm talking about as it seems. |

Dude, what I'm trying to say it's something different. You say (example) that it takes you 5 minutes and it'll take me 1 minute for the same thing. What I say is that if you knew anatomy you would do it in 1 minute too, only less polished, because as I said practice in speed only increases the accuracy of the line and nothing else. The knowledge level is what matters. |

Okay, you are absolutely right. My level of anatomy knowledge is obviously far too low, I'll work on it. Next time Ill post in the sketch dump. |
